What To Do This Weekend 21.09.18

Wondering how to spend your precious two days off? Let SheerLuxe be your guide in our What To Do This Weekend round-up.

GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE: House of Lady Muck

Founded by nail aficionado and entrepreneur Laura Southern, House of Lady Muck has become a go-to pop-up nail destination, with previous temporary spaces in Farringdon and Gizzi Erskine’s Mare Street Market. To mark its first birthday, the nail studio has opened its only permanent salon on the lower ground floor of Topshop Oxford Circus. The team behind this beautifully decked-out space work exclusively with CND products, and offer manicures and pedicures (we like the ‘No Mucking About’ express pedicure), all complete with cuticle work and hand massages. A perfect post-shop pick-me-up.

EXPERIENCE THE ULTIMATE THROWBACK HERE: 100 Wardour St

We can’t deny that the nineties is one of our favourite decades of all time – it birthed the Spice Girls, Oasis and bucket hats (ok, forget that last one). And now, 100 Wardour St is making us feel all nostalgic with their new club night, Throwback Thursdays. The weekly throwback sesh will bring old-school R&B, pop and indie from the nineties and noughties back to life. And if you get down there tonight, legendary DJ Trevor Nelson will be there to serenade you with plenty of nineties hip-hop. Now, where did we leave that union jack dress…

WATCH THIS: Crazy Rich Asians

The first film in Hollywood for 25 years to feature an entirely Asian cast, this glossy rom-com has been on everyone’s radar since it was first announced. An adaptation of Kevin Kwan’s bestselling novel of the same name, Crazy Rich Asians takes the classic fairytale love story of a poor girl who falls for a prince and revamps it for the modern age – this lucky lady is thrown into the glamorous but bitchy world of the Singapore elite. It’s currently smashing the US box office, and with very good reason. Make sure to catch it yourself.
