Swap snake print for leopard spots

We challenge you to find a more timeless print than leopard. And according to the SS19 catwalks, where Rejina Pyo, Burberry and Dolce & Gabbana all favoured leopard spots, they’re still our number one choice of print.

Swap crew neck knits for classic cardis

Printed, cable knit, neutral or in a punchy hue with balloon sleeves, it’s the layer that instantly updates your wardrobe. For extra style points, team a  cropped cardi with your silky slip skirts and off-duty denim.

Swap cowboy boots for lace-up ankle boots

While we know cowboy boots aren’t going anywhere the lace-up ankle boot is fast becoming our preferred choice of footwear. With so many iterations on offer - black leather kitten heel styles at Zara or colourful and suede block heels at ByFar- perfectly designed to wear under ankle-grazing denim, tailored trousers and floaty midi skirts.

Swap floral dresses for prairie dresses

A well-cut floral midi dress never goes out of style, but for equally ladylike dressing choose a prairie dress with overlays of lace and tulle for a feminine finish. You won’t have to look far to get your hands on the good stuff, Batsheva and & Other Stories have flattering styles in abundance, best worn with ankle boots or slouchy boots now, and Castañer espadrilles later.

Swap autumnal suiting for powdery pastels

Where burgundy, forest green, navy and grey suiting dominated last season, we’re taking style notes from the likes of Chanel, Alexa Chung, Gabriela Hearst and Dion Lee and switching to something a little brighter. Think sunny yellow hues, blues, lilacs, pinks and minty greens.
