Amika Silken Up Dry Conditioner, £9
Step aside dry shampoo – dry conditioner is the latest hair trend causing a stir. Designed to refresh hair and nourish it when it’s dry, it’s a great remedy for those who suffer from frizz, split ends or damage from too much heat styling. We love this formula from Amika, which uses antioxidants to protect and panthenol – a strengthening ingredient that conditions, boosts elasticity and prevents further breakage. While it won’t soak up oil or hide greasiness, it will add a little bit of volume, as well as making strands noticeably softer and shinier.

e.l.f. Lash It Loud Mascara, £6
E.L.F. make some of the best high-street mascaras on the market and their latest launch is no exception. The brush head has evenly spaced bristles to help you create separated lashes, while the inky black pigment looks glossy and expensive – plus, it never flakes or dries out before the day is done. You’ll love how flexible the wand is too – it makes it easier to manoeuvre, so you can reach every little lash with ease.

Skinny Tan After Glow Gloss, £6.99
We’re huge fans of Skinny Tan’s entire line, the name for which comes from the ‘skinny’ ingredients list which removes any parabens or potential irritants. Their Glow Gloss is our latest favourite. Created without any gimmicky glitter, it’s a sheer, non-sticky gloss that’s not only hydrating (thanks to sunflower and coconut oil) but seriously enhancing, too. A thin layer gives limbs a healthy shine that’s especially flattering over freshly tanned skin, but you can also wear it solo to give your body the kind of glossy glow which hides and conceals bumps or bruises. A must-try for summer.

NYX Brow Glue Instant Brow Styler, £6.50
There are so many products promising to cater to the ‘laminated brow’ trend now, but this is one of the best we’ve tried when it comes to the affordable end of the market. With a rounded brush, it’s easy to apply, sculpt and shape your arches, while the transparent gel sets quickly, helping to keep wayward hairs in place for hours. It’s lightweight too, so you never have any gloopy or sticky residue left behind. Layer this up first to nail your shape, then go in with a tinted gel or pencil for further definition.

Honest Beauty Tinted Lip Balm, £10
These sheer balms are a true daytime staple – ideal when you want a hint of something, but not full-on intensity. Brimming with avocado oil and fatty acids, they work to hydrate, soften and protect, while the pretty wash of colour is flattering and healthy-looking. The shade ‘Summer Melon’ is our go-to, but ‘Blood Orange’ will be great for summer, or anyone who prefers their colour to be a bit deeper.

Aveeno Clarify & Shine+ Cider Vinegar Shampoo, £5.99 (was £8.99)
Everyone needs to have one clarifying shampoo in their beauty stash, and this Aveeno one is our current go-to. Formulated with botanical oils and colloidal oats, it gently exfoliates congested scalps to get rid of any product build-up. As a result, you’ll notice your hair feels lighter, bouncier and shinier-looking post-use. What’s more, unlike other clarifying shampoos, this doesn’t strip hair entirely – instead, the pH balanced formula ensures your natural oils aren’t disrupted. You only need to use it once a week, but you’ll notice a difference immediately. It’s a great option before you get your colour done, too, as it helps dye and bleach adhere properly.

Glow Hub Purify & Brighten Jelly Cleanser, £10
New brand, Glow Hub, offers affordable, no-frills skincare that delivers. Our favourite from the line is the Jelly Cleanser. Designed to break down dirt and declog congested pores, it swiftly removes make-up using blueberry extract and black tea – both of which are known for their detoxifying benefits. It’s incredibly gentle, too, despite its ability to balance out skin and prevent further breakouts.

Botanics All Bright Bi-Phase Facial Oil, £8.99
Facial oils don’t get much better than this. With consistently good reviews, this Botanics bi-phase one is often hard to get hold of, but it’s finally back in stock. Brimming with exfoliating AHAs and nourishing oils, just a thin layer gets to work removing dead skin cells, while also hydrating and restoring any lost moisture. After a week, you’ll see your skin looks brighter and more even. In fact, it’s so popular, up to 90% of testers say they noticed a marked difference in the appearance of tired skin with regular use. Just remember to wear SPF afterwards, as the acids can make your skin more susceptible to sun damage.
