Lisa Eldridge Plush Matte Velvet Lip Colour in Velvet Morning, £26

Rated By: Lisa-Potter-Dixon, Make-Up Artist & Beauty Author

Why She Loves It:
“There isn’t a single box this lipstick doesn’t tick. The texture is so smooth, and the satin finish is unbeatable. As for the colour, it’s bright, but still wearable – ideal for both day and night. It’s probably my favourite red of all time.”

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Walk Of No Shame, £25

Rated By: Kelly Dawn, Make-Up Artist

Why She Loves It: “For me, it has to be this one from Charlotte Tilbury. It flatters every skin tone – either pressed on as a light stain, or applied direct from the bullet for more impact. On lighter skin tones, press it on to create a natural ‘bitten’ effect or apply it in full for a more vampy finish. On darker skin tones, it reads as more of a pretty, soft pink. It’s a true staple in my kit.”

“I love this soft, subtle shade. It gives lips a healthy flush of colour, and it’s sheer but still impactful. A great everyday option, or layer it up for further intensity in the evening.”

Chantecaille ‘Lip Chic’, £38

Rated By: Sophie Tilley, Make-Up Artist

Why She Loves It: "Chantecaille’s 'Lip Chic' is one of those lipsticks that is the perfect hybrid of colour payoff with high-shine, and it has a non-sticky finish. Its sheer formula means you can apply on-the-go without the need for a mirror.  Available in a vast array of shades, my favourite is ‘Patience’ for an all round flattering hue of nude rose. It also contains hyaluronic acid to moisturise and plump the lips so it ticks all the lip-enhancing boxes."
