Fara Homidi

Orin Carlin, Beauty Writer

I’ve had my eye on Fara Homidi for a while, eagerly anticipating its UK launch. NYC-based make-up artist Fara just gets it. She’s meticulous in her approach to undertones but largely unswayed by the ‘correct’ way of doing something, which makes her eponymous line feel so instinctive and effortless.  Lived-in over polish any day of the week, this brand is so up my street. Everything is finger-friendly and smudgeable, including the Essential Face Compact w hich helps you appear that little bit more rested when you’re feeling far from it. Another standout is the genius Blonzer which I wore on repeat this summer – think of it as your cheat code to that soft, sunblazed look, only without the skin damage. It’s unbelievably pretty swirled over the bridge of the nose. My current obsession is the new mascara. Since getting a lash lift and tint, I’ve found myself mostly skipping mascara but this has enticed me back. The rigidity of the brush fibres allows for proper separation, creating a full, fluffy effect.

BIBBI

Rebecca Hull, Group Beauty Director

It’s rare to find a fragrance brand that comes out with winner after winner, but BIBBI never puts a foot wrong. It's expensive – the 30ml bottles are a little more accessible – but well worth the investment for the quality. Exclusive to Liberty, every fragrance manages to be compliment-inducing but without feeling overpowering. Since the brand launched, I've worn ‘Radio Child’ most days. Deeply comforting, clean and musky with a figgy dry-down, it's exactly my kind of scent. I also regularly borrow ‘Boy of June’ from my boyfriend – it’s leathery but never cloying thanks to zesty lemon and bergamot. Then there's ‘The Other Room’, a woody, spicy fragrance that's perfect for the evening. The beauty of BIBBI is how effortlessly unisex every scent feels; I'm not exaggerating when I say I'm constantly asked what I'm wearing.

Gisou

Jenn George, Beauty Director & Acting Senior Wellness Editor

I was a late comer to Gisou; it was actually the buttery lip mask – which launched in 2025 – that piqued my interest. It’s hands down the best I've ever used and I now keep a pot on my desk and bedside at all times. Better known for its haircare (which, like the lip mask, relies on honey produced by the brand's owners as the key hydrating ingredient), I tried the reformulated leave-in-conditioner spray next and it's equally as brilliant. I love it when I'm wearing my hair naturally wavy, as it helps to smooth frizz and define the texture. It's incredibly lightweight though, so suitable for even fine hair types. For a more intense hit of moisture, the hair mask is a true reviver. Lastly, its newest launch – collagen-infused hair oil drops – are set to become a staple for me. Fast-absorbing and non-greasy, they give an instant glossy, swishy finish.

Rationale

Alex Steinherr, SL Contributor

Rationale has been a bit of an insider obsession of mine for a while. I first discovered it through the Brilliance Tinted Serum SPF50+ and basically worked backwards from there. It’s one of those rare SPFs that makes your skin look so good you actually want to wear it. And now I’m completely hooked on the Beautiful Skin Superfluid SPF30, which is more of a skin tint and gives just enough coverage without ever looking like foundation. The whole brand sits in that sweet spot between serious skincare and really beautiful textures. Not cheap, admittedly, but very good.

Saie

Billie Bhatia, SL Contributor

My gateway product into Saie – the New York-based brand founded by blogger Laney Crowell – was the now-cult Dew Blush. The doe-foot applicator requires just two or three drops to make a real impact on the skin and the formula adds an impressive amount of glow. The shade ‘Chilly’ is my favourite. I’m also very into the illuminating Glowy Super Gel – a primer that gives you that glassy, lit-from-within sheen – as well as the CitySet Setting Spray which locks everything in place. The brand is so considered in creating what consumers actually want – which is where the name ‘Saie’ was born: “you say it, we create it”. But perhaps most importantly, it’s also incredibly sustainability-focused and offers something really unique in an accessible kind of way.

Forestalgia

Rhea Cartwright, SL Contributor

Brands that make everyday rituals feel more considered really speak to me and Forestalgia does exactly that. Founded by creative director Emmanuel Lawal, the London-based design studio sits somewhere between beauty, culture and collectible design, reimagining familiar grooming tools as objects you actually want to keep. Its new Orbit Comb is the perfect example. A sculptural circular comb made from recycled acetate, available in afro, wide-tooth and fine-tooth versions to work across different hair textures. Afro combs, and tools designed specifically for textured hair, have long been overlooked by the luxury hair market, so I love that Forestalgia is helping shift that conversation by treating them as objects of design, identity and desire rather than purely functional tools. It feels genuinely useful but is still incredibly beautiful – the sort of thing you’d happily leave on your dressing table rather than hide in a drawer.
