SKINCARE THAT WORKS...

Sensibio H20 Eye Micellaire, £12 | Bioderma

Fans of Bioderma’s cult Micellar Water will love this new dedicated formula for the eyes. Gentle but effective, it quickly dissolves waterproof make-up, while added vitamin B5 locks in hydration to keep lashes strong. It works quickly too, so you never have to tug or pull at the skin to get rid of every last trace of make-up.

Bare Necessity Gel Cleanser, £26 | Facile Skincare

Fed up of overly harsh cleansers? This one from Facile is ‘low-foam’, which means it doesn’t strip the skin, while the high levels of hyaluronic acid lock in moisture for days. The lightweight gel lifts away all make-up and gets rid of any excess dirt for a squeaky-clean feel that’s seriously satisfying. Simple, but so effective.

Hydro Boost Gel Serum, £41 | Saint Charles

New brand Saint Charles is committed to using natural ingredients that are kind to both the environment and your skin. We’re loving this Hydro Boost Serum, which feels so soothing. As you massage it in, it floods skin with moisture, thanks to a potent combination of hyaluronic acid, glycerin and flower water. You can layer another moisturiser on top for further nourishment, but it’s likely this will be enough on its own. Oily skin types will enjoy how quickly it absorbs and how little shine it leaves behind.

Feel Good Oil, £23 | Seventy – One Percent

If you want to try a facial oil, but fear looking greasy, try this one from the brand Seventy – One. Lightweight, it absorbs fast without that tacky feel, while ingredients like hyaluronic acid and squalane provide instant hydration and glow. It works well with other skincare products, too, unlike some oils which can cause pilling. A little goes a long way, so use just a few drops at a time for best results. You can mix it with your base make-up for a more sheer, breathable finish, too.

TOOLS TO IMPROVE YOUR ROUTINE...

Skincare Wand, £125 | SolaWave

This SolaWave wand has gone viral and continues to sell out time and again. Using red light therapy, it works to smooth skin and even out tone with regular use – minimising issues like wrinkles, dark spots and redness. It also uses microcurrents to firm muscles and depuff. It’s designed to be used with its own serum, but your own will work just as well. Use it three times a week for the best results.

NuVibe Rx Amethyst Massaging Beauty Roller, £75 | Nurse Jamie

Dubbed ‘the ultimate skin pick-me-up’ this clever roller uses sonic vibration pulses and a suction effect to tighten and firm skin as you go, giving the temporary appearance of better luminosity and tone. Press and glide it around your eyes, nose, mouth and jawline, using a serum or moisturiser for added slip. You’ll notice results almost immediately, and find other products apply far easier post-use. A great addition to any skincare routine.

Canvas Vanity Case, £65 | Paravel

Travel beauty bags don’t get much chicer than this. Compact, it’s ideal for throwing in your holiday suitcase, but it’s also surprisingly roomy. It’s also made from entirely recyclable materials, including plastic bottles and eco-friendly silicone. Transparent at the sides, it’s easy to clean, so if you have any make-up spillages, you don’t need to worry about permanent stains.

White Riki Graceful Magnifying Mirror, £115 | Glamcor

Glamcor’s Riki mirrors are a cult favourite for a reason. Providing bright, natural-looking light, they’ve become essential for those who want flawless make-up application every time. Now, the brand has launched this travel magnifying mirror, complete with a handy pouch and collapsible stand. It also has dimmer options and 7x magnification which means you never miss a patch or forget to blend any areas out. We love the fold-out ring handle, which comfortably slots onto your fingers when you’re on the move.

Body Buffer Rose, £40 | KAI

This body buffer cleanses, exfoliates and moisturises skin while you’re in the shower for softer-looking limbs. The sponge is hypoallergenic, so it doesn’t harbour lots of bacteria or cause any inflammation – unlike some similar versions on the market. Softly scented with rose, it can be used repeatedly, so you don’t get any throwaway guilt either.

Exfoliating Glove Set, £12 | So Eco

Find dry body brushing a faff? These exfoliating gloves are an ideal alternative. Designed to be worn in the shower, simply pop them on and use them to massage in your favourite body wash. The gritty – but never abrasive – material gently buffs skin, removing dead cells and dry patches to leave behind a smoother surface. They’re perfect for removing stubborn fake tan too – especially on tricky areas like the ankles and wrists.

A FLORAL FRAGRANCE WITH A TWIST...

Infusion D’Ylang Eau de Parfum, £118 | Prada

Here at SL, we’re big fans of the Prada Infusion line. The newest addition is d’Ylang – a fragrance designed with contrast in mind and one that includes notes of bergamot, sandalwood and cardamom. The result is a warming, spicy floral that feels perfect for summer. It lasts all day on the skin – and even longer on clothes.

VOLUME-BOOSTING HAIRCARE WE LOVE...

Southern Belle Volume Boosting Root Lifter, £14 | Drybar

Like a dry shampoo, but without any of the typical white residue, this lightweight volumizer gives hair an instant lift. Spray it directly into your roots, with your head flipped forward, then massage it in with your fingers to evenly distribute the product. Even the limpest of strands will see a visible difference – specifically more fullness around the hairline. Hair doesn’t become knotty or weighed down either – you can brush through immediately after with zero snagging or pulling. Extra points go to the soft violet and sandalwood scent.

Available at Harrods.com

Rodeo Star Thickening Style Foam, £26 | R+CO

Merging the benefits of a volumizer and a mousse, this thickening foam is designed to give hair a bit of weightless oomph. Apply it to damp hair and it quickly soaks in without any stickiness or crispiness. Then, blast it with a hairdryer, tipping your head forward as you do. It works fast to enhance lank, limp strands, lifting hair directly from the root with the kind of volume that really goes the distance. Like all R+Co products, it’s completely recyclable, too.

THE LATEST IN MAKE-UP...

Couture Colour Clutch, £100 | YSL

When is an eyeshadow palette so much more than just another palette? When it comes in a chic YSL clutch. It feels incredibly luxe, while the shadows inside have all been chosen for their suits-all undertones. From warm browns to flushed pinks and metallic taupes, everything is designed to add warmth to the eyes – and cheeks – for a bit of subtle sculpting. The variation of matte, satin and glitter tones mean you can vary your looks, while the colours themselves have impressive payoff – you won’t find they fade or slide off prematurely.

Available at YSLBeauty.co.uk

Duo Stick, £32 | DIBS

DIBS – which is stands for Desert Island Beauty Status – is the new, multi-tasking brand to know about. These Duo Sticks include both a blush and a bronzer, with a creamy texture that makes on-the-go application a dream. Each one melts into the skin, so you can quickly blend and buff for instant enhancement. We love the dewy glow and sheen-y finish that helps your complexion look healthy and hydrated. Extra points go to the fun packaging.

The Beautiful Tint, £44 | Kjaer Weis

With an impressive shade range, this skin-loving tint provides just the right amount of coverage – enough to disguise uneven tone, but never too much that it looks caked or creased. It feels amazing on the skin as well, thanks to a blend of cocoa butter, moringa oil and plant extracts which lock in hydration and smooth uneven texture. At £44, it’s not cheap, but it’s worth it if you’re serious about coverage that goes the distance. You only need a small amount each time, so you’ll find it lasts you for months on end.
