The Lip Definer

Sacheu Doubledown Lip Definer

A liner and balm in one, these fun sticks come with a dark and light shade that contour the lips and give them the illusion of fullness and definition. The dry down is balm-y yet pigmented. I love the shade ‘Hot Take,’ which is a soft neutral that’s ideal for day-to-day wear. For something bolder, ‘Rush Hour’ is a rich, pillar box red, while ‘Daybreak’ is a soft, peachy tone that looks great with a tan.

The Affordable Base

Max Factor Lasting Blur

You only need a small amount of this base to get smooth, even coverage that dries down with a luminous finish. There’s a shade for every single undertone, so you’re guaranteed a perfect match too. Plus, the longevity is good – you will easily get six hours wear out of this without needing lots of touch-ups. I love the way it makes my skin look.

The Trichologist Brand

Rhute Hair

Rhute is the hair-growth brand created by Dr Aamna Adel and it’s really impressed me. I’ve been using the Dermastamp and Scalp Serum together for just over a month and have already started to notice baby hairs appearing around my hairline. The stamp is gentle, easy to use and works by creating tiny micro-channels in the scalp, while the serum – formulated with peptides and stem cell extracts – is designed to support stronger, healthier-looking hair from the root. Consistency is key, but so far I feel it’s delivering on its promises and I’m excited to see how the results develop. I also like that neither product feels like a faff: the serum is lightweight and non-greasy, while the stamp can be used on either wet or dry hair.

The £6 Hero

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil

Delivering great colour payoff that lasts, these creamy pencils can be smudged over lids and blended out with fingers or a brush for a quick, foolproof, smoky eye. There are lots of different shades to choose from but ‘French Fries’ is my go-to. It’s a warm brown that gives the eye soft definition without ever being OTT.

The Brand I Can’t Get Enough Of

Jones Road

Jones Road may not be new but rediscovering its core products at Liberty’s beauty counter has made me fall hard for the brand all over again. I genuinely can’t find a product I dislike. The Miracle Balm – also Liberty’s bestselling beauty product – is my favourite, especially in ‘Dusty Rose’. It gives my cheeks a bouncy, fresh-looking glow that instantly lifts and brightens my face. The new Wide Awake Brightening Concealer is brilliant too, while the Blushing Sticks and Face Pencils are ideal for on-the-go touch-ups. The textures are some of the best I’ve come across: easy to work with, forgiving on the skin and incredibly flattering.

The Rediscovery

Hermès Eau De Rhubarbe Écarlate Eau de Cologne

I used to wear this scent all the time and recently rediscovered it once I realised it now also comes as a hand and body wash. As you’d expect, the main note is rhubarb but it’s nicely balanced with musky, creamy undertones. It has an earthy, warm quality that’s unlike anything else and a peppery, green dry down that is perfect for the evening. It’s so unique – I’ve never met anyone else who wears it – but the best part is it’s also unisex.

The Versatile Primer

Iconic London Underglaze PDRN Grippy Primer

I’m always asked if you need a primer. The answer is often no but then a product like this comes along and makes a strong counter-argument. It delivers hydration, glow and longevity all in one swipe. It also blurs the skin and any unwanted texture, while limiting any pilling or creasing. It’s brilliant for holding concealer and foundation in place but you might find you like the look of it on its own too, thanks to its luminous dry down.
