BB Cream, £20.50 | Erborian

“These are the only products I use on my face – as the brand takes a skin-first, make-up-second approach. I love the way these creams give my skin a natural, healthy look and never leave my complexion looking or feeling caked. They play well with other products, too.”

Available at LookFantastic.com

Ultra-Moisturizing Body Milk, £11.90 | Topicrem

“Check out this brand next time you’re in a French pharmacy. Its bodycare is second to none. I love this milk specifically as the texture absorbs so quickly with zero stickiness left behind. It leaves your skin feeling hydrated for hours thanks to ingredients that are proven to zap dryness. Created by a pharmaceutical lab in 1909, it’s stood the test of time for a reason.”

Available at CocoonCentre.co.uk

Daily Dry Shampoo, £11.50 | Klorane

“You’d be hard pushed to find a French woman who doesn’t rate this. It’s so gentle – unlike some other dry shampoos – and delivers amazing volume. I love the brand’s Chamomile range – which my mother used to use on me – and the shampoo is my go-to. It has been game-changing for my blonde hair.”

Available at Boots.com

La Rosée Skincare

“This brand is a new discovery. It was founded by two French pharmacists who wanted to create kind, gentle products that everyone could use. I do, along with my entire family, including my children. The formulas are very clean and don’t contain anything unnecessary. Everything is housed in sustainable packaging, too. The sun and baby care products really stand out – especially the Stick Solaire, which is so easy to use.”

Available at LaRosee.co.uk

Prodigieux Le Parfum, £31.50 (was £45) | Nuxe

“If you want a new and affordable fragrance, this is one to try. Whenever I spray it, it immediately reminds me of summer. It’s so warming and nutty.”

Available at UK.Nuxe.com

Exomega Shower Oil, £16.59 | Aderma

“This is a must-try for anyone who suffers with dryness or even eczema. It coats skin in nourishing emollients, sealing in long-term moisture. It instantly soothes inflammation and dry, scaly patches. It’s really satisfying to use.”

Available at Amazon.co.uk

Resvératrol Firming Night Cream, £46 | Caudalíe

“I know you can get Caudalie everywhere now, but you’ll find a broader selection of products at French pharmacies. This is my favourite cream for overhauling my skin and the brand uses the same exclusive ingredient it has done for 20 years – grape seed polyphenols – which is one of the most powerful antioxidants you’ll find. It’s proven to minimise fine lines and improve uneven skin tone.”

Available at CultBeauty.co.uk

Active Water, £13.49 (was £17.99) | Embryolisse

“Everyone loves Embryolisse’s Lait-Crème Concentré – which is amazingly versatile – but this Active Water is my favourite product from the brand. It’s more effective than any other thermal water spray, and again it’s proven to deeply hydrate your skin. It’s multipurpose too, doubling up as a gentle micellar water – you’ll find it breaks down even the most stubborn, waterproof make-up.”

Available at Superdrug.com

Le Balm Skin Savior Solid Sérum, $120 | Bonjout Beauty

"I have to mention my Le Balm, which I wanted to formulate in a similar way to Embryolisse's Lait-Crème Concentrée. It's multi-purpose, acting as a serum, moisturiser, eye cream, night cream and repairing mask – you name it, it does a bit of everything while deeply hydrating skin with a number of nourishing ingredients. The handy pot makes it great for travel, too."

Available at BonjoutBeauty.com

Fusion Water Magic SPF50, £20.90 | ISDIN

“One of the best SPFs I’ve ever used, this is so lightweight, sheer and leaves behind no white residue whatsoever. You barely feel it once it’s on the skin. Added ingredients like hyaluronic acid keep moisture levels topped up, while vitamin E ensures skin is strong and smooth. It never irritates my eyes either, which is a common problem with other SPFs.”

Available at Amazon.co.uk

ArkoRoyal Organic Royal Jelly 20 Vials, £15.95 | ArkoPharma

"Next time you’re in France, I recommend snapping these up. I take one every morning at breakfast to boost my immune system and energy levels. I’ve really noticed a difference – the Royal Jelly is great for reducing stress, while amino and fatty acids boost your antioxidant levels.”

Available at CocoonCentre.co.uk

Ultra-Dry Hair Nourishing Day Cream, £15.22 | Phyto 9

“If you’ve never tried Phyto 9, make this product your first purchase. I have very dry hair with lots of split ends due to heat styling, but this acts like a band aid. It contains several hydrating oils – like macadamia and plant extracts – which soften and nourish at speed. I love that it gives my hair a glossier look too, while smoothing any static, all without weighing my strands down.”

Available at Amazon.co.uk

Emulsion, £15.99 (was £19.20) | Biafine

“I am never without a tube of this. It’s the best thing for soothing burns, bumps and scrapes. It also works well to minimise scarring and heal irritated areas of skin. A bit like Embroylisse, it has a thin, imperceptible texture that sits well underneath make-up and other products.”

Available at Amazon.co.uk

Super Serum [10], £60 | Nuxe

“Inside this clever formula you’ll find encapsulated micro-oil bubbles that break over your skin as you massage it in. They get to work deep down, pumping skin full of moisture. With regular use you’ll find dryness and tightness start to disappear. My favourite thing about the serum is how cooling it is – your complexion feels fresher straight away.”
