Best Foot Forward

Basic Nail Kit, £155 | Navy

Fresh feet are always guaranteed to make me feel like a new woman. From here on in, I’m committing to regular ELIM pedicures. Medical grade but with all the lovely pampering extras, they make light work of hard skin and calluses, and will get your feet feeling sandal-ready in no time. If you can’t get a pro to tackle your toes, the next best thing is arming yourself with the brilliant Navy Professionals Basic Nail Kit and having a go yourself. The name doesn’t actually do this set justice – I have it and it’s good, not to mention chic. All the tools are handcrafted in the UK and meticulously made to be as hardwearing, long-lasting and efficient as possible. The fact that it’s a family run business with an inspiring founder at the helm makes it extra special.

Hair How-To

Revive Rapid Repair Bond Gloss, £31 | JVN Hair
N.04 The Miracle Detangling Scalp Brush, £158 | Augustinus Bader x La Bonne Brosse

Tempting as it is to book in for a face-changing chop with my beloved George Northwood (PSA: keep your eyes peeled for his new salon opening in West London soon), I know that I’d only regret it, having spent the last two years growing out my bob. Instead of drastically altering its appearance, I’m settling for overhauling its health instead. To do that, I’m using JVN’s new  Revive Repairing range and in particular the Rapid Repair Bond Gloss. The whole range is good, but this stuff is especially great – you’ll notice hair feels more elastic with serious mirror shine after just one treatment. I’m also practically welded to my new Augustinus Bader x La Bonne Brosse detangling brush. It’s not just stylish, it’s so gentle on wet hair, and gives my scalp a nice little blood-boosting massage every time I use it.

Brows & Blush

Brow Build Gel, £25 | BBB London
Colour Glaze Lip & Cheek Pigment, £25 | Simihaze Beauty
Sun Flush All-Over Face Tint, £35 | Simihaze Beauty

Brows can completely change a face – I should know since I had my brows microbladed by the brilliant Suman Brows. While the shape of my brows needs no tweaking, this spring I’m craving more fullness. To get that youthful, bushy effect, I’ll be using Blink Brow Bar’s Brow Build Gel. To add a little extra bulk, just swipe through brows with the microfibre tip which deposits tiny fibres into your existing brow to add more oomph without looking OTT. Refreshing my make-up with some new (or new to me) brands is a sure-fire way to reignite things. I have been bowled over recently by some products I was sent from LA-based Simihaze Beauty that are as covetable as they are good. Two of my favourite things are from its blusher collection. The Colour Glaze pigment in Hibiscus is great for really waking skin up. The shade is an incredible sort of metallic, iridescent purplish pink and I’m obsessed with how it sits on skin. The second is the Sun Flush All Over Skin Tint in ‘Baby’. It’s full of pigment, but at the same time blends out beautifully so the colour really melts in. I’ve used this over eyelids and on lips to create a bit more of a tonal look.

Tweakment Time

From time to time, I need a bit of help that only certain treatments can fix. To eliminate the drawn, permanently exhausted look my face seems to have acquired over winter, I’m booking in to see my long-time trusted favourite Dr Sarah Tonks, who will administer some much-needed Botox around my brows and temples, and a sprinkle of volumising filler from her fabulous new Knightsbridge salon. For some facial rejuvenation, I’m heading to Dr Galyna for Sylfirm X. It’s the world’s 1st FDA-approved pulsed wave and continuous wave radio frequency microneedling system (a bit of a mouthful but bear with) and is meant to be just the thing for smoother, healthier, fresher-looking skin. Galyna uses a specially honed technique for the face, using shallow depth and low-energy settings to trick your skin into behaving like it’s younger and speed up rejuvenation. It can also be used on the body so looks set to be a bit of a game-changer.
