Detox Shampoo, £30 | Ouai
Spoilt For Choice Hair Oil, £28 | Larry King
Naturaltech Nourishing Vegetarian Miracle Mask, £26.50 | Davines
Elvive Glycolic Gloss Shampoo & Conditioner Set, £15.59 (was £25.98) | L'Oréal Paris
"I use the Ouai Detox Shampoo when I need a proper reset and love how it leaves my hair feeling so clean but not stripped of moisture. For a deep treatment Larry King’s Spoilt For Choice Oil is my ride-or-die (applied generously like a mask, then washed out) but I also use it between wash days for extra shine without the grease. It’s the Davines Miracle Mask when my lengths need a bit of love but day-to-day I swear by L’Oréal’s Glycolic Gloss Shampoo & Conditioner. Used together, they give my hair such a smooth, high-gloss finish."

Style Secret Air Automatic Rotating Curler & Waver, £120 | BaByliss
Volumizing Blow Dry Mist, £28 | Olaplex
Ultimate Blends Hair Food, Coconut Oil 3-In-1 Frizzy Hair Mask Treatment, £4.49 (was £8.99) | Garnier
Happy Endings Nourishing Balm, £36 | Hair By Sam McKnight
“I could honestly do a TED Talk on hair products but since I’m limited to four… a hair tool I’ve become obsessed with is this curler from BaByliss. It’s so easy and quick to use – plus, it smoothes while it styles. You can set the level of drama, whether you want loose waves or tight curls. Before using it, spritzing in this blow dry mist from Olaplex will add more bounce and help your hair hold the style for longer, without any tell-tale residue. I’m not too loyal to shampoos and conditioners, and often just use a hair mask in place of the latter. Garnier’s banana one is a bestseller but I prefer this coconut one, which helps fight the frizz my hair is prone to. If some of that frizz still remains after styling, this deliciously scented balm makes quick work of it, smoothing and defining with none of that tacky, sticky feel.”

Treatment Mist, £38.50 | Moroccanoil
Hair Prodigieux Intense Repair Hair Mask, £32 | Nuxe
Gold Lust Restorative Night Crème, £70 | Oribe
The Hero Clip, £18 | Loxx Hair
“Moroccanoil’s Treatment Mist is a recent discovery but it has really been working overtime in my routine. I’ve been wary about using oils – the temptation to overapply is so hard to resist. This however, is ultra-fine. I keep it on my desk and spritz it directly onto my hair before filming to smooth any wayward strands. In the past, I never used to bother with masks but now there are so many brilliant, fast-acting formulas. One I’m loving at the moment is by Nuxe: it makes your hair buttery-soft and infuses it with that delicious holiday-bottled, creamy floral scent that the Prodigieux line is known (and loved) for. When I was first introduced to Oribe’s Restorative Night Crème, I was sceptical. The idea you could apply a no-rinse reparative treatment overnight and wake up with your hair good to go? I couldn’t get my head around it. Now, I can’t be without it. I work it through my mid-lengths and ends and plait my hair; when I undo them in the morning, everything just looks more defined. Finally, a must-have for travelling or when I need to properly focus: a claw clip. I love the luxe burgundy shade of this Loxx one as a softer alternative to black.”

Curl Manifesto, £33.30 (was £37) | Kérastase
Gold Lust Transformative Masque, £23 | Oribe
Hydrating Shampoo, £28 | Cécred
Manketti Hair Oil, £52 | Charlotte Mensah
“Having naturally curly hair means I rely on formulas that deeply hydrate without weighing it down, as I have a lot of it but it’s also fine. Kérastase’s Curl Manifesto Leave-In is a non-negotiable. It gives slip, definition and frizz control while still feeling featherlight, plus the scent is beautiful. Oribe has consistently been in my routine for 15 years and the Gold Lust Masque is the nourishing antidote to heat styling and colour. When it comes to shampoo, Cécred’s hydrating option doesn’t get enough love but it’s one of the best I’ve used. It cleanses properly while leaving my hair so soft and hydrated straight from the shower. When my hair is straight, Charlotte Mensah’s Manketti Hair Oil is always the final touch. A tiny (and I mean tiny) amount before or after blow-drying will add shine and keep hair looking smooth. When I was at Liberty, it was consistently in the top ten haircare bestsellers, which tells you everything.”
