Skin Renewing 10% Pure Vitamin C Serum, £23.20 (was £29) | CeraVe

Experts will tell you it pays to invest in a good vitamin C serum like this one from CeraVe. Containing a whopping 10% ascorbic acid, it works hard to stimulate sluggish cells, improving turnover and getting rid of dead skin for renewed brightness. Though it’s potent, it’s gentle thanks to added ceramides and hyaluronic acid, which offer serious nourishment and cushion any irritation. A great entry-level vitamin C serum.

Glycan Enrich Moisturiser, £72 | Seabody

We recently discovered this unassuming brand and can’t get enough of its silky moisturiser. Vegan oils, ceramides, squalane and niacinamide combine for a formula that soaks up dryness, alleviates discomfort and enhances skin’s suppleness and tone. Not only does it feel good, but skin immediately looks bouncier and fresher – 93% of testers said they felt their skin was firmer with regular application.

Portofino '97 Golden Shimmer Body Oil, £90 | Victoria Beckham Beauty

Summer beauty launches don't get much better than this new, silky oil. Fast-absorbing, it adds a subtle bronze tint to the skin and illuminates with golden pearls. There are also botanical oils and fatty acids in there to strengthen skin and keep it subtle. Even better, it has the same scent as Victoria Beckham's bestselling fragrance, Portofino '97. Airy, salty and warm, it instantly transports you to the beach, while a dash of incense gives it a depth we can't get enough of. It's expensive, but this bottle will definitely last until next summer.

Marrakech Sun Body, From £45 | whind

Tan novices take note – Moroccan-brand whind has dropped three body mists that promise to give you healthier-looking skin this summer. The Sun Bronzing Mist provides a soft, buildable, natural-looking colour that’s impossible to get wrong. The Dewy Rose Moisture Mist doesn’t have a tint, but still gives skin a radiant sheen, while drenching it in moisture thanks to aloe vera, glycerin and hyaluronic acid. Lastly, the Shimmer Luminous Gel Oil is a must-try for those wanting a visible glow without darkening the skin. Full of pearlescent minerals, the silky texture delivers a reflective dewiness we can’t get enough of. Apply it neat or mix it with your body cream or foundation for a subtler effect.

The Smoother Glycolic Acid Body Lotion £19 | Naturium

Everyone needs a good body lotion come summer and this one from Naturium works overtime. Full of glycolic acid, it buffs away at dead skin, dissolving dirt, build-up and anything trapped in pores to smooth out the skin’s surface. It also combats ingrown hairs, as well as keratosis pilaris (chicken skin) while shea butter gets rid of any roughness or uneven texture without leftover grease.

Heartwarmer Body Gua Sha, £88 | Joonbyrd

When is a body gua sha tool different to all the others? When it’s the size of a small ball and can cover a large surface area in a single sweep. This one from Joonbyrd is easy to work with, meaning you can get into a good, rhythmic movement without any slip as you glide it over your skin. Not only does it relieve tension, it boosts circulation and blood flow – just remember to work in upward and outward motions.

Ilio Face & Body Mist, £42 | Diptyque

This face and body spray is soft and powdery with a figgy, green drydown that makes you feel so clean. Despite it being fragranced enough to earn you compliments, it’s gentle enough to be used over the face when you want to hit reset.

Available at DiptyqueParis.com

Seven Eau De Parfum, £139 | Valjues

Niche fragrance brand Valjues is worth checking out if you like gender-neutral, skin-style scents. We love ‘Seven’ – a blend of pink pepper, cherry musk, rose and tobacco. It has a fizzy, warming quality that’s balanced nicely by a subtle fruitiness. Never cloying or overbearing, it’s unusual, playful and very easy to wear.

The A&P Travel Bag, £26 | Ace & Prince

Ace & Prince is our favourite new find for fun, colourful totes and storage. These make-up bags are so roomy and come with a double zip plus another small, square pouch inside for further storage. Ideal for travel, they’re incredibly durable. They’re also a great buy if you like all the clutter out of sight but still within reach.

Available at AceAndPrince.com

Heating Mittens, £55 | Gelcare

If you prefer to do your own gel removal, we recommend investing in these mittens to make the process so easy. They come with temperature control – and three heat settings – and the idea is you file off up to 80% of your gel colour, soak each gel with an acetone, then put your hands inside the pre-heated mitts and leave them there for five minutes. Afterwards, you’ll find the colour on your nails has all but peeled off, with minimal scraping required.

Eleos Aromatique Hand Balm, £27 | Aesop

Aesop’s new hand balm has become our latest desk, drawer and bag staple. With a herbal, woody scent – thanks to notes of patchouli and clove – it’s so warming and satisfying. It’s also non-greasy, quick to absorb and great at soothing dry, hard areas of skin. We like to use a little to slick back our hair too – it works so well to tame flyaways and keep everything in place.

Available at SpaceNK.com

Mini Boar Bristle Brush, £34 | Emi Jay

This compact brush is a must-try if you regularly tie your hair back. The bristles are densely packed and they catch every single hair, distributing natural oils as they glide through for a slick, glossy effect. Think of it like a horse brush, but without any harshness – the perfect partner to any updo.

Extra-Large Thermal Rollers, £14 | Kitsch

These look old-school, but they self-grip, which means they don’t require relentless pulling and rolling through your hair to see results. They’re ceramic coated too, meaning they work even better if you blast them with a hairdryer. We recommend buying two packs to cover your entire head. Expect volume and better bounce.

Available at Anthropologie.com

Hair Shield, £18 | Miami Beach Bum

We love this soft, lightweight conditioner. Apply it to wet or dry hair – either way, the water-resistant formula offers intense protection, even after swimming. Massage on a generous amount before you expose your hair and scalp to the sun and reapply at the end of the day to give hair a bit of post-sun TLC. You’ll find it gives you more texture, too – use a tiny amount to tame flyaways and frizz, and give strands a softer, beachier look.

Available at Revolve.com

The Richer One Moisture Repair Deep Conditioner, £29 | Fenty Beauty

Fenty Beauty has expanded into haircare and the products don’t disappoint. This deep conditioner is one of the best we’ve tried when it comes to boosting shine, concealing the look of split ends and boosting hair’s overall vitality. It also contains green coconut water to pump the hair full of moisture while replenicore-5 is proven to repair, strengthen and smooth. You’ll find hair is more manageable post-use and curls are more defined, with better bounce and stretch.

Blurring Serum Blush, £30 | Anastasia Beverly Hills

Those in the market for a liquid blush will love this new one from Anastasia Beverly Hills. Lightweight and almost watery in texture, it provides a soft wash of colour that’s dewy and fresh. The peachy shade ‘Guava’ is our go-to. As the luminosity wears off, you’ll find the colour dries down into more of a stain. We recommend tapping it on with your fingers to build it up gradually.

Available at AnastasiaBeverlyHills.com

FeatherFix Lifting Brow Gel, £30 | Victoria Beckham Beauty

If you love the laminated brow look, make this new clear gel your go-to. Easy to use, it isn’t gloopy like others on the market and can be applied in a few coats to create the effect you’re after – whether that’s subtle definition or a full-on, slicked effect. Whatever you choose, you’ll find it holds every hair in place and works well to enhance your natural brow colour, though we recommend working a pencil over the top to fill in any sparse areas.

Available at Selfridges.com

Sunstone Lip Sheer, £33 | Chantecaille

Chantecaille does some of the best lipsticks and this new sheer formula might be our favourite yet. It has the feel of a balm, but with the longevity of a matte lipstick thanks to the rich pigments. It also gives lips a fuller appearance while flower oils and vegan waxes soften and hydrate. ‘Enthusiasm’ – a warm coral – is ideal for summer.

High Impact™ Mascara In Black Honey, £25.50 | Clinique

Matching Clinique’s cult lipstick shade with its bestselling mascara formula, this new launch is only available for a limited time.
