I’ve washed my face nightly since I was a child. Even if I have no make-up on, I always rinse my skin and give it a quick cleanse. My mum taught me to do it daily as a child and it’s stuck. You can’t go to bed with any build-up from the day on your complexion – so many impurities build up and then cause issues.

Night-time is when skin regenerates, so it pays to take care. I love to double cleanse, but it’s key you choose products that don’t strip your skin of its natural oils, or you disrupt the pH balance. I love to use a gentle cleansing oil first – I find they leave skin so soft, hydrated and supple. My second cleanse is with KORA’s Turmeric Glow Foaming Cleanser. It’s so invigorating and gel-based – it latches onto every last bit of dirt while soothing skin at the same time.

My repeat buy is KOSAS’s Lip Balm. I love the shade ‘Pulse’ – a soft, wearable pink that always looks fresh. I use it every day – it’s so hydrating and gives lips a plumped-up effect with just enough colour. I panic if I don’t have one of these nearby.

Blusher is the one make-up product I SWEAR BY. I like to have REALLY PINK CHEEKS – nothing looks FRESHER OR HEALTHIER in my opinion.

Gua sha is one of my favourite ways to sculpt. I find it really does stimulate circulation and improve my skin tone, while depuffing, contouring and lifting my entire face. It’s an ancient eastern technique that is so incredible – I really recommend trying it. When done right, it can eliminate toxins while relieving tension and stress. I swear by the Rose Quartz Heart Shaped Facial Sculptor paired with an organic oil for a bit of slip. I try to do it at least once a week.

Gratitude puts everything into perspective. I think it’s important to try and put a positive spin on things – especially when we are being self-critical. How you speak to yourself is important and can switch perspective on so many things. It sounds cheesy, but waking up and thinking of things you’re grateful for, instead of focusing on the negative, can really improve your overall outlook on life, as well as your wellbeing.

I swear by body brushing. I’ve been doing it since I was 18. Aside from exercise, it’s one of the main ways I make my body go from sluggish to energised. I do it before stepping into the shower, working in circular motions all over. It doesn’t need to take forever, but it’s really uplifting, and I can see the difference in my skin when I do it regularly.

Thorough facials are what I’ll always invest in. Whenever I prepare for an event or the red carpet, it’s always a facial I’ll indulge in – preferably one with LED and microcurrent devices to really get down deep. The right facial can completely reset your skin and make any make-up you wear work even harder. I swear by The Beauty Sandwich in LA – its treatments are unrivalled. Before any events, I always neck a lot of water too – I am talking pints. It’s obvious but a good intake of water helps with a multitude of sins before an evening out.

KORA’s Silky Sun Drops are my current obsession. They sit so beautifully underneath make-up, while giving great protection against UV rays. Plus, just a small amount gives such a dewy glow. This product was a real labour of love for the brand. It took over five years to ensure it complied with the strict standards set by COSMOS/Ecocert. It lives up to my high expectations of protection, great texture and no white cast. It’s hydrating too. If I ever have any left post-application, I run it along my hands as they’re so often forgotten.

You’ll never see me without blusher. It’s the one make-up product I swear by – I often use it over my eyes as well because eyeshadow is not my strength. My favourite is by RMS Beauty in a shade called ‘Heart’. I like to have really pink cheeks – nothing looks fresher or healthier in my opinion. RMS Beauty is one of my favourite brands – the founder Rose-Marie is a very good friend and I love how much she advocates for organic ingredients.

There are two high-street products I buy on repeat. Nothing beats Benefit’s Gimme Brow Gel – it has such a tiny wand that catches every hair. I also love Tower Beauty’s MakeWaves Mascara. It’s a great vegan formula which lengthens and holds a curl for hours. It never smudges either. I like that is has a more natural finish.

My grandmother was my beauty idol. She taught me the importance of using natural ingredients from a young age. She introduced me to Noni when I was 13 and I’ve been drinking it ever since. It’s rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and full of anti-inflammatory properties – I swear by it. If I ever had sunburn or a breakout, I’d put it on my skin. She always had that sparkle in her eye – she lit up any room she walked into with her energy alone. She made me realise beauty is about that confidence and being comfortable in your own skin.

I am obsessed with good bodycare. In fact, the last product I finished was the Noni Glow Body Oil. I’ve been applying this religiously to keep my skin nourished and hydrated throughout my pregnancy and into post-partum. I also add a few drops into my children’s baths each evening – it keeps their skin so soft and hydrated.

My grandmother was my BEAUTY IDOL. She always had that SPARKLE IN HER EYE – she LIT UP ANY ROOM she walked into with her ENERGY ALONE. She made me realise beauty is about THAT CONFIDENCE.

Coconut oil is my go-to hair hack. I use it for so many things – whether it’s slicking my hair back or slathering it on at night as an overnight mask. I find it works better than most to deliver speedy hydration and conceal any frizzing or split ends. Another tip I swear by is extending skincare routine to the neck and decolletage, as well as the backs of your hands. These are all forgotten areas, but are still exposed to sun damage and therefore ageing.

iT Cosmetics does the best under-eye concealer. It’s my favourite as it really brightens and lifts dullness. I also love that it layers nicely with everything else I use. I can go heavier or lighter with this, depending on the type of coverage I want to achieve. Since the skin around the eyes is so thin and fragile, I always pat it on gently in light motions, then use a slightly firmer pressing motion with a brush to ensure it’s all smooth and absorbed.

Certified organic ingredients are essential. What you apply through your skincare really soaks into your body. I learnt this when I was a teenager and my mum was diagnosed with cancerous tumours in her spleen. As a family, we did so much research and learnt that a lot of the everyday products we used daily contained chemicals that can harm our health. It’s what put me on the path to starting KORA Organics in 2009. I have my name on the back of these products because I really believe in the ethos and because I want them to outlive me.
