“Autumn calls for a fresh foundation and mascara. I'm loving UKLash's Tubing Mascara. It's clump-free and the thin wand reaches all those little lashes at the inner and outer corners. Plus, it comes off easily – unlike some tubing formulas. For foundation, Westman Atelier's newest launch is worth the splurge. It covers and conceals uneven tone, leaving behind a dewy, luminous finish. I've had multiple compliments on my skin since wearing it.

“Speaking of complexion-enhancers, Giorgio Armani's new Multi-Use Blush Sticks are perfect if you just want some gentle warmth and definition. They're fun to use, with a chunky design that makes them easy to scribble on and go. For brows, Lisa Eldridge's Kitten Brow is great for taming unruly hairs and creating a laminated effect, while Milk Makeup's new Line + Fill gives lips some soft definition with a pigment that lasts for hours and stops lipstick from bleeding. Lastly, Victoria Beckham's Sculpt & Blend Brush has earned a permanent spot in my make-up bag. It works with liquids, powders and creams, giving everything a nicely buffed-in look while helping to prevent creasing and pilling.”

“As we head into autumn, I’m all about flattering dimension and warmth. Charlotte Tilbury’s new powder blush blends like a dream and is so finely milled that it feels almost silky to the touch. ‘Ecstasy’ – a pretty, glowing peach – is my favourite. For a balmier feel, Byfrow’s sticks apply seamlessly on both cheeks and lips for an effortless tonal moment. If, like me, you have multiple lip balms lining every jacket pocket, you’ll appreciate the Violette_Fr’s newly tinted Balm Amours. Cushiony soft, they make your lips appear plump and luscious. Cocoa-toned ‘Noisette’ gets my vote. As September ramps up, I’m leaning on Sarah Creal’s Face Flex to banish tell-tale signs of fatigue. It’s excellent – properly heavy-duty but still airy on the skin. Finally, since getting a lash lift I’ve actually been skipping mascara but on days when I want a little extra definition, Merit’s is just the ticket. Plus, it won’t budge – handy during an impromptu downpour.”

“This time of year is historically when brands drop lots of new launches, so we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to fantastic formulas. One such product is Fara Homidi’s mascara: jet black, it gives lovely definition without too much drama, so it’s perfect for day-to-day wear. Vieve’s concealer is also ticking all the boxes. Lightweight but with good coverage, it’s stretchy and doesn’t sit in fine lines. It really seems to nourish and brighten under the eyes too. I’m rejoicing at the return of individual eyeshadows; find me a person who has ever finished an entire palette? Saie’s selection of shades is perfect, with my favourite being ‘Amaretto’, a reddish-brown. As my summer tan fades, I’m relying on bronzing drops, with Dr Sturm’s being a new favourite, as they have a nice blurring effect on the skin. For the final touches of colour, I’m loving the new NARS liquid blush and Victoria Beckham’s lip liners.”

“At this time of year, I still want my skin to look warm, golden and slightly sun-kissed – just with lighter, fresher textures. Sarah Creal’s bronzer (in shade 1.5) is perfect for this because it gives that believable warmth without looking overly bronzed. I’ll add Chantecaille’s Cheek Shade in ‘Lion Pride’ for a little colour, then use the One/Size On ’Til Dawn Bronze Veil Setting Spray, which is basically my way of hanging onto that last bit of summer glow. The Clarins concealer gives me coverage exactly where I want it rather than adding another layer all over, while the Haus Labs liner in ‘Deep Cocoa’ is my seasonal switch from black: softer, warmer and just better with bronzed skin. I’m always going to want a plump, juicy lip, whatever the season, so the Allies of Skin Peptint in ‘Nirvana’ stays firmly in rotation. Autumn wardrobe, yes. Autumn face? Not quite yet.”

As we move into autumn, I’m increasingly drawn to definition and richer tones. Tom Ford’s Eye Color Quad in 'Burnished Haze' is exactly the kind of palette I reach for at this time of year – smoky, bronzed and sophisticated. I’ll pair it with ILIA’s eyeliner in 'Flourish', which gives the eyes a softer, more flattering look than a stark black. I still want my skin to look fresh – which is where Morphe’s bronzing serum comes in. It adds believable warmth that stops my complexion from looking too flat. The Armani Luminous Silk Concealer is similarly useful for adding coverage without weight. It's lightweight, seamless and ideal for brightening and evening out the skin without masking it. For colour, Votary has launched its new Lip & Cheek Tint. It gives you that soft, naturally flushed finish, while the Danessa Myricks Lip Gloss adds a juicy hit of colour and shine.
