The New Base Make-Up Minimalists Will Love

We’re big fans of affordable Nordic brand Lumene, so we’re excited to tell you about its latest launch: the Colour Correcting CC Cream. If you want to disguise redness, discoloration or uneven tone – but still want a base that looks fresh and natural – this one's for you. Here's why it deserves a place in your routine...

Created in partnership with LUMENE

A Recap: Why Lumene?

One of Finland’s bestselling beauty brands, Lumene is all about sustainable, clean and effective ingredients. That’s why its innovative textures and formulas are proven to work – plus, the packing is made from renewable sources, so it ticks a lot of boxes. Even better, the range is pretty affordable, with products starting from just £7.

The CC Cream: A New Multi-Purpose Formula

Lumene has previously formulated some seriously good make-up, from Illumination Fluids to Liquid Blushers. It's even been coined 'Finland's favourite' – so we're excited to see the brand's bestselling base finally available in the UK.

A hybrid, do-it-all hero, this is a CC cream that corrects on application, reducing redness and blurring imperfections using a blend of Nordic lingonberry and hydrating Arctic spring water. Its potent blend of ingredients – and added SPF – also ensures the skin is protected all day. With a glowy finish, it’s a product you can wear as a single layer – but you can also build it up if you want a little more coverage. At just under £20, it won’t break the bank either.

How To Get The Most From It

After completing your skincare routine, apply a light layer of the product to your face, blending in light circular motions for the most natural finish. Use either a brush or your fingers, depending on your desired coverage. Incredibly silky and lightweight, it's a dream to blend – you’ll feel its hydrating properties getting to work almost instantly. For a fuller coverage look, just add a little more, always working in light layers. When you’ve finished the product, it’s worth remembering the tube and cap are recyclable.
