7 Beauty Looks We’re Loving This Month

From smokey eyes to rich, red pouts and perfect feline flicks, here are seven beauty looks inspiring us right now – and how to get them…

Denika Bedrossian

The Look: Glossy, Highlighted Skin

How To Do It: Proof that glossy lids and skin are still very much on trend in 2020. Denika used all bareMinerals’ products to create this fresh, radiant look for the Golden Globes. Using the Complexion Rescue Stick Foundation, Denika  applied it only to the areas that needed it, letting the skin breathe for a natural finish. Denika then tapped on the brand’s Glow Highlighter drops, focusing on the tops of the cheekbones and cupid’s bow, before layering the Moxie Plumping Lipgloss in Karat over lids for a wet-look sheen. As for lips, Denika used the shade Hibiscus to get the same, diffused pigment. Simply use your finger to push the product in to recreate the same feathery finish.

Hung Vanngo

The Look: Hollywood Glam
How To Do It: Subtle shimmer and a brick red pout is perfect for any occasion, with this look created especially for Kate Bosworth’s birthday. To replicate, use a shimmery glitter pigment like Haus Laboratories Liquid shadows, and take the pigment right up to the brow bone for maximum impact. Instead of using black, keep the look soft like Hung did here with a brow liner on the inner and upper water line, before loading on a jet-black mascara. For lips, the exact shade used was Sunnies Face Lip Dip in Girl Crush – we don’t have access to the brand in the UK, but you can create an almost identical shade with NARS’ Lipstick in Intrigue. Apply it straight from the bullet for the same sculpted finish.

Claudia Neacsu

The Look: Flawless Flicks
How To Do It: We love the pairing of these chunky, feline flicks with soft lilac lids. Using only Pout Case products, Claudia started by sweeping on both the Adorable Nude & Irresistible Tan foundations, using their Golden Sahara highlighter on top, tapped onto the bridge of the nose and along the cheekbones for a glossy finish. Eyes were built up with Almond Cookie & Chocolate Mocha Eyeshadows, using a little on the lower lash, too, before Claudia drew on the flicks with Pout Case’s Midnight Black Eyeliner. To get the same, flawless, result, start with the inner corner of the eye, drawing the thinnest line possible to the centre of the lids before stopping. This gives you time to pause and review the start of the line that you’ve created and perfect it if needed. Then move over to the flick before filling in the rest of the lid.

Georgie Eisdell

The Look: Creamy, Caramel Hues
How To Do It: This soft, shimmery look sticks to a minimal colour palette, which makes it subtle enough for daytime wear. Make-up artist Georgie Eisdell kept it classic and sophisticated, swapping colour for taupe and creams, while cheeks were softly bronzed and brows swept into place. To recreate the eye, try using Hourglass’ Graphik Eyeshadow Palette in Ravine. Pair it with a long-lasting lipstick and you’re good to go.

Inbeaut Magazine

The Look: Statement Lips
How To Do It: Smokey eyes aren’t always the answer. This colourful pout makes for a real statement, especially when paired with a subtle eye, like it was here. Replicate the look by using Chanel’s Rouge Allure Ink Lipstick in True Red, layering it up to get the same intense pigment. Sculpt eyes with a neutral, beige shadow, before using a soft, thin mascara to mimic the same fluttery effect, and keep brows buffed in place with a gel formula.

Kale Teter

The Look: Kaleidoscope Eyes

How To Do It: It can be hard to keep full-on shimmer looking chic – especially when it’s a colour like this – but that’s exactly what make-up artist Kale Teter did. Create your own version with a wash of Marc Jacobs’ See-Quins Glam Glitter Eyeshadow in Copper, and wing it out at the corners. Skip blush and use a bronzer to enhance bone structure and maintain dimension. As for the base itself, look to a creamy formula with a semi-matte glow, like Crème De La Mer’s Soft Fluid Long-Wear Foundation, which has a dewy dry-down but lasts for hours. Finally, copy the arched brows by pencilling in some fake hairs, using light, deft motions, before using a gel to set in place.

Beau Nelson

The Look: Smokey Grunge

How To Do It: Think smokey eyes with a grungy twist. Instead of standard black, Beau loaded Nicole Richie’s lids with different gunmetal shades. Skin was prepped with NYX’s Glass Skin Primer, before being buffed with Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Foundation. Next up, eyes were layered with Tom Ford’s Eye Colour Quad in Pretty Baby, with Beau blending the shadows for an eye-opening effect. To complete the look, lashes were loaded with L’Oreal’s Carbon Black mascara, with just a little of the product brushed onto the lower lashes. Lips were kept neutral with Charlotte Tilbury’s Gloss in Pillow Talk, while cheeks were subtly flushed with Stila’s Cream Blush in Gerbera.
