The Best New Beauty Buys For November

The Best New Beauty Buys For November

With an array of new beauty launches each month, we’re here tell you what’s worth it your hard-earned cash. From the relaunched glow-giving serum to the salon-standard hair range, this is what’s on our wish list this month…

As we hurtle towards the end of year, we’ve been spoilt for choice when it comes to new beauty. November has been the month of the comeback, with a number of our all-time favourite products getting a revamp. Sunday Riley’s cult serum Good Genes has been reformulated; Glossier’s Generation G lipstick has had a new and improved makeover; and Weleda’s much-loved Skin Food (Rihanna and Julia Roberts are firm fans) is now available in a lighter version.

It’s also been a great month for hair newness, with Olaplex launching their first at-home shampoo and conditioner range (a must-have for those with colour-treated or damaged strands), as well as Aveda’s Blow Dry Accelerator Spray (ideal for alarm clock snoozers) and OUAI’s Scalp & Body Scrub (a multitasking deep-cleansing treat) also hitting shelves.

And when it comes to party season treats and indulgent Christmas gifts, you can’t beat a little luxury – whether you’re on the giving or receiving end. We’ve got our eye son Byredo’s Chai candle, which smells heavenly, and you can’t go wrong with Tom Ford’s new lipstick collection or the limited-edition Chanel No 5, complete with festive red bottle. Happy shopping…

Revamped make-up buys...

Tom Ford Boys & Girls II Lipsticks, £30 each

Tom Ford has expanded its bestselling Boys & Girls range – with 15 new ‘Boys’ and 15 new ‘Girls’ now in the line-up. Spanning Cream, Matte, Metallic, Ultra-Rich and Sheer finishes, the shade of your dreams is sure to be in there somewhere. We’ve already found ours…

Glossier Generation G, £14 each

Glossier calls them the “new kind of lip colour” that gives a just-blotted finish, without the blot. And we’re inclined to agree… The revamped formula is even more impressive than the original – comfier to wear, with a lighter, sheerer texture, yet with a flattering and longer-lasting matte finish.

Max Factor Volume Infusion Mascara, £12.99

Combining the effects of both a mascara and a lash serum, Max Factor’s latest launch is packed with lash-strengthening keratin and biotin, plus comes with a seriously decent volumising wand. Expect glossy, fluttery lashes straight away, and fuller, longer lashes over time too.

The latest in haircare...

OUAI Scalp & Body Scrub, £32

Described by OUAI Founder Jen Atkin, the Kardashian-Jenner’s go-to hairstylist, as like “a trip to rehab for your scalp and skin”, this deep-cleansing scrub is already a staple in the showers of the rich and famous. Sugar crystals gently exfoliate, whilst probiotics work wonders on itchy scalps.

Aveda Speed Of Light Blow-Dry Accelerator Spray, £21

As if to answer our prayers, Aveda have released this clever spray that’s proven to reduce blow-drying time by up to 50%. That means less heat-damage, more time in bed in the mornings and no more sore arms from holding up your hairdryer. Now we’ve tried it, we wouldn’t be without.

Olaplex No 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo & Conditioner, £24 each

If you heat style, colour or bleach your hair on the regular and are yet to try Olaplex, you’re missing a trick. The groundbreaking range now includes the No 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo & Conditioner (alongside the weekly Hair Perfector treatment), for even more impressive repairing results.

Cult new scents...

Chanel N°5 Eau de Parfum Limited Edition, £130 for 100ml

The ultimate in Christmas wish list fodder, the world’s most iconic fragrance now comes housed in a gorgeous red glass bottle festive bottle. Fans of the timeless eau de parfum may want to nab one for themselves, as the limited edition scent looks set to be a real collector’s item.

Byredo Chai Candle, £54

The newest member of Byredo’s covetable candle family is decidedly festive. Inspired by the tea ritual of the India, and designed to evoke a “feeling of home”, it’s a warming, comforting blend of spicy cardamom, clove and ginger, offset by smoky incense and creamy, milky ‘latte’ notes.

Beauty Pie Brazilian Lime, Fig Leaves & Tea Eau de Parfum, £18.24 for 100ml

Beauty Pie have branched into the fragrance world with three eau de parfums – and out of the bunch, this is our favourite. They claim the confidence-boosting scent may lead people to “mistake you for somebody famous”… We can’t vouch for that (just yet), but it is seriously sophisticated.
