The Mini Beauty Products To Pack For Your Next Trip
All products on this page have been selected by our editorial team, however we may make commission on some products.
Body
If you want some little luxuries while away, there are now plenty of bodycare options in miniature form. That includes luxe washes, creams and even miniature razors which fold up neatly in your case. Look out for miniature SPFs too – including Hampton’s continual mist – all of which are ideal for shorter breaks when you don’t want to pack heavy bottles or have too much left over.
Fragrance
Some of our favourite fragrance houses now do miniatures – including Escentric Molecules and Diptyque. The latter does chic bottles you can also get personalised, with a compact size that’s perfect for going through airport security. Solid perfumes are a great option for travel, too – you can pack them in your cabin luggage without contravening any liquid restrictions. Failing that, snap up an atomiser. There are plenty of affordable options out there, ready for you to decant your favourite scent for holiday.
Hair Care
Whether you need miniature dry shampoos, hair masks or de-frizzers, the options are endless. We love OUAI’s Mini Bundle which houses all you need for any trip, while Philip Kingsley’s compact Elasticiser Pouch is great for feeding hair with moisture wherever you are. Even brushes – like ghd’s cult Paddle Brush – come in miniature form now, giving you more space in your case for other essentials.
Makeup
There are so many make-up minis we love. From Tarte’s best selling concealer to NARS’s Blush & Bronze Duo and Natasha Denona’s small eyeshadow palettes. To ensure everything arrives intact, place a cotton pad over the top of palettes and compacts, or a puff if you have one. Look out for multipurpose products to streamline your packing – for example, MILK’s make-up sticks which can be used on lids, cheeks and lips. Finally, try cream eyeshadow sticks. The By Terry ones are now available in travel mini sizes that will still last you for months on end.
Skincare
It seems almost every skincare product now has a miniature alternative. If you don’t want to stockpile too many, there are some great starter skin kits, where brands shrink their hero products into miniatures. Just like make-up, multipurpose skincare is great for travel, including the mini Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask (ideal for beating the dehydration caused by aeroplane air-con) and La Roche Posay’s Protection Mist which offers high levels of protection and cools the skin simultaneously. Finally, it’s worth taking mini tan drops with you. We rate the Tan-Luxe ones which give you a healthy looking colour without forcing you to put your skin in harm’s way.
