The SheerLuxe Beauty Team’s Minibreak Must-Haves

“It will come as no surprise that, as a beauty editor, even on a short trip I need to have a good line-up of products. I will forgo some things though: my usual hair tool is swapped for a barrel brush, so I can still attempt a blow-dried finish without the bulk of an electrical. Larry King’s multi-use styling product adds the final touch. Make-up wise, I’ll stick with formulas I can apply with my fingers, like Hourglass’ new highlighter, which doubles as an eyeshadow or even to add glow to a base. For skincare, I love all of Mimétique’s formulas, so this set is a no-brainer. On a more practical note, this Dove deodorant is amazing for travel – it smells amazing and doesn’t get messy like other roll-ons.”

“My skincare routine is all about hydration and gentle formulas, which is why I always pack some Summer Fridays essentials, alongside an Augustinus Bader Mini Rich Cream for night-time. Elsewhere, the new travel version of the Dyson hair dryer is sleek and lightweight – while still delivering effective results. On the hair front, I never go far without my Davines Oi All In One Milk, which works to heat protect, smooth and condition (alongside the shampoo and conditioner that comes in a set of minis). When it comes to make-up, I try to pack smarter, so a multi-use product that works across cheeks, eyes and bronzing is a staple in my bag. For scent, I’m currently loving the ‘freshly washed sheets’ notes of Byredo’s Blanche, so I’ll be throwing this roll-on in my bag.”

"I’m never without Le Labo’s Rose 31 when flying. The easy-to-apply rollerball format is ideal on the go, and the scent itself has a clean, cosy clarity. My hair is naturally wavy, so my approach towards brushing is minimal to say the least, but I've learned the hard way that if I'm going for more than one night, I need a proper brush. This one by La Bonne Brosse feels luxurious. I also can't be without some form of make-up glow-booster. The soft, lit-from-within effect created by Charlotte Tilbury's foundation stick is so similar to that of Hollywood Flawless Filter – both are brilliant – but I pack the stick as it's much lighter. But there is one glass bottle that always makes the cut: a quality facial oil. When I'm puffy from travelling, facial massage makes all the difference.”
