What You Need To Know About Claridge’s Spa

Claridge’s is the very epitome of luxury – so you can imagine how excited we were to hear it’s launching a spa. Opening today, the new space will play host to some of the biggest names in beauty, including A-list hair stylist Josh Wood, manicurist Harriet Westmoreland and acupuncturist Ross J Barr. With seven treatment rooms, a heated swimming pool, wet rooms, saunas and so much more, it’s no wonder it’s been years in the making. Here’s why it’s been worth the wait…

The Background

After years of planning, Claridge’s first ever spa has arrived, and it’s guaranteed to be a classy affair. Maintaining the attention to detail that Claridge’s is so known for, you can expect the very best that the worlds of beauty and wellness have to offer. Located three floors below the main hotel – a team of experts excavated five floors to create it – the spa spans several thousand feet, forming a space that feels private and secluded in the best way possible.

The Details

The entire space was designed by interior architect Andre Fu, who wanted to create a feeling of calm and an immediate sense of peace. The second you step across the monochrome lobby, you’ll disconnect from the busyness of everyday life, thanks to simple additions like the sound of flowing water, soothing music and minimalist interiors – all of which have been designed to help you move slower and switch off. We love how everything is so considered – from the handmade poultices to the soft lights that surround the saunas.

A particular highlight is the heated swimming pool flanked by stone columns. Nearby, you’ll find cabanas which offer privacy pre-or post-treatment and a host of different saunas, as well as steam rooms. Step back from this part and you’ll find the seven treatment rooms – each one complete with its own private bathroom.

We have created a spa at Claridge’s where guests will find both HOLISTIC PRACTICES and RESULTS-DRIVEN treatments all under one roof. Claridge’s has long been a TEMPLE OF GOOD LIVING with a philosophy of enjoying life to the full.

The Treatments

There are endless treatments on offer – from cryotherapy facials to traditional services like waxing, you can find a full menu here. Highlights include the Bamboo & Silk Ritual – a warming, deep tissue massage that focuses on alleviating tension and stress. It’s 90 minutes of sheer bliss, ending with a skin-softening facial – plus, any treatment of this length allows you to use the pool at no extra cost. Second, the Body Detox & Sculpt yields impressive results. Perfect before an event, your therapist will focus on areas like your thighs, abdomen and upper arms, deeply massaging them using lymphatic techniques to lift and firm, bringing fresh blood to the surface for healthier-looking skin.

Don’t miss Josh Wood at Claridge’s either. You’ll find Josh’s top stylists and colourists set up in the dedicated hair and beauty space, offering a range of  services. There are only two chairs in this space to ensure it feels private and customers can enjoy a more bespoke experience.

The Experts

Claridge’s will play host to and rotate some of the top experts in the industry. The roster of names includes Augustinus Bader, FaceGym and organic, holistic La Eva. Visiting expert residencies include nail artist Harriet Westmoreland – whose clients include Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Naomi Campbell – and celebrity acupuncturist Ross J Barr.

So now, as well as pouring guests the perfect martini, we can also REJUVENATE AND RESTORE with the perfect treatment, to strike that all important balance.

The Prices

Like everything at Claridge’s, you pay for what you get. Prices vary, starting from £25 for waxes and £100 for facials – but two things stay the same: the quality and the service. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better way to spend a solo afternoon or a weekend with friends and family.
