Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin

Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin is the brand’s first winter resort, occupying a prime ski-in/ski-out position in Courchevel 1850. Designed by French interior designer Tristan Auer, the property has 51 rooms and suites, including three signature houses, all designed with the understated luxury associated with the Rosewood name. Food and wellness are central to the experience, with on-site restaurant SALTO and Rosewood’s Asaya spa, which offers treatments designed specifically around post-ski recovery. For something more memorable, guests can arrange experiences including sunrise coffee on La Saulire overlooking Mont Blanc, or First Track, which gives them access to the slopes before the lifts officially open. Having launched in April, the property will reopen in December 2026 for its first full season.

L’Apogée Courchevel

Set in Courchevel’s Jardin Alpin, L’Apogée Courchevel combines a prime ski setting with elegant interiors, a subterranean spa and a strong focus on food and design. The hotel’s dining spaces have been reimagined by American designer Kelly Wearstler, marking her first European hotel project. Inspired by the contrast between Brutalist architecture and the softness of the Alps, the interiors pair raw stone and natural wood with curated European artworks, creating spaces that feel contemporary but warm. The redesign runs throughout the lounge, bar and salon, with comfortable spaces designed for lingering after a day on the slopes. At the centre of the experience is L’Apogée Club, which serves French and international cuisine from breakfast through to après-ski. Executive chef Romain Antoine brings his Côte d’Azur experience to the kitchen, while evenings at Beefbar Courchevel combine signature dishes and mountain-inspired creations with live music.

Raffles Courchevel

Raffles Hotels & Resorts is set to make its Alpine debut in Courchevel 1850, opening ahead of the 2028 winter season. One to bookmark for later, the brand’s first ski resort will occupy a coveted position in the Jardin Alpin, with panoramic views across the Tarentaise Valley and direct access to one of the world’s most exclusive ski destinations. With just 50 rooms and suites, the focus will be firmly on privacy and personalised service, with interiors designed by Paris-based studio Humbert & Poyet. Raffles Courchevel will become the brand’s sixth European property, joining its London outpost at The OWO, as well as hotels in Paris, Warsaw and Istanbul. For those who like their ski trips with a serious dose of glamour, this is one to watch.

Chanel Coco Neige 2025/26 brings a distinctly elegant take to the winter wardrobe, combining the house’s signature codes with practical technical fabrics designed for colder climates. Fronted by actress and Chanel ambassador Nana Komatsu, the collection draws on Gabrielle Chanel’s enduring love of the mountains. Expect plenty of familiar Chanel signatures – from emblematic tweed and the double C to a classic black-and-white palette – reworked for ski trips and après-ski. The collection’s more glamorous pieces include sequinned jackets and luxurious cashmere coats, designed to take you from the slopes to evening drinks with ease.

Beldersoy Resort & Spa marks Destination by Hyatt’s debut in Uzbekistan, set among the Chimgan-Bostanliq mountains with direct access to ski slopes, gondolas and year-round hiking and biking trails. The resort has 109 rooms and 36 private villas, all designed to make the most of the dramatic mountain setting. Interiors combine contemporary design with local craftsmanship, using natural materials and a palette of stone, sand, clay and deep green, alongside handcrafted Uzbek artwork. Wellness is a major draw, with a Thalasso-inspired concept adapted to the high-altitude surroundings, including mineral- and magnesium-rich pools and an outdoor infinity pool overlooking the mountains. Grand Hotel Ampezzo opened this summer in Cortina d’Ampezzo, just moments from the Faloria cable car and Corso Italia. A careful restoration has brought the historic property back to life, retaining its art-deco influences while introducing a more contemporary sense of luxury. Originally built in 1959, Chalet Pierre is one of Méribel’s earliest chalets and has been completely rebuilt for the 2026 season. Part of luxury chalet operator Purple Ski’s portfolio, it sleeps up to 15 guests across seven bedrooms, combining traditional Alpine character with contemporary comforts. Natural materials, original timber features and carefully chosen furnishings create a warm, cocooning feel, while the top floor is the real showstopper: an expansive open-plan living space with a suspended fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the mountains. There’s also a cinema and games room, plus a private wellness area with an indoor hot tub, sauna, hammam and massage room. Ski-in/ski-out access is available via the Morel chairlift, while a private underground passage connects the chalet to neighbouring Lac Bleu’s additional spa, gym and pool facilities.

Opening for its inaugural winter season from 14th December, Arcora Boutique Hotel & Villas is a new 59-suite retreat on the edge of Finland’s Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. Set among fells, ancient forests and frozen lakes, the property is putting its family heritage at the centre of the experience. Four ‘By Owner’ adventures will be led by one of the four Pietikäinen brothers, whose family has been connected to Finnish Lapland since 1973. Guests can choose from snowmobiling, husky and reindeer safaris or snowshoeing in the national park, combining local knowledge with the perspective of a family that has spent generations exploring the region. The concept is part of a wider story that began with a single cabin and campsite and has grown into one of Finnish Lapland’s established adventure travel businesses.

Le Graal Cortina

Le Graal Cortina is a new 30-room hotel perched above Cortina d’Ampezzo, combining dramatic Dolomite views with a softer, more contemporary take on Alpine design. Opening in October, it’s housed in a 1920s building reimagined by Italian architect Achille Salvagni, the interiors move away from the darker, traditional style often associated with mountain hotels, instead using light woods, natural marble and handcrafted stucco. Food is a major part of the experience, with the culinary programme overseen by chef Giovanni Guarneri of Don Camillo in Ortigia, alongside Café Le Graal, an all-day space inspired by Italy’s historic café culture. The spa focuses on restoration, longevity and stress recovery, while a programme of local experiences ranges from sunrise hikes and snowshoeing to private mountain lunches, hot-air balloon flights above the peaks, snowshoeing adventures through the alpine forests, traditional horse-drawn sleigh rides, sunset aperitivi at Cinque Torri and e-bike rides along the historic Dolomites railway route.
