Creation Stories, Now TV

This biopic follows Creation Records’ co-founder Alan McGee (Ewen Bremner) – the man who discovered the Gallagher brothers. Creation Stories shows his rise to success, which led to him changing the face of British culture forever. A must-watch for Brit-Pop fans and those after a dose of 90s nostalgia.

Dealer, Netflix

Franck, a music video director, infiltrates a rough neighbourhood in the South of France to film Tony, a charismatic but unpredictable drug gang leader wanting to break into the rap music scene. Using his camera to reveal the hidden, true face of drug dealing, Franck ends up caught in the middle of a bloody gang war. A fast-paced thriller.

Formula One: Drive To Survive – Series 3, Netflix

Married or single, we've all heard it: "You could buy a house for the price of that wedding!" Nashville-based wedding planner Sarah Miller and real estate agent Nichole Holmes are here to help couples make this decision. Sarah is a hopeless romantic, while Nichole thinks a set of new house keys is the most romantic purchase a couple can make. Together, the pair will come armed with their strong opinions and best sales strategies to win a newly engaged couple over to their side.

Moxie, Netflix

Vivian (Hadley Robinson), a seemingly shy 16-year-old, has always preferred to keep her head down and fly under the radar. But when the arrival of a new student (Alycia Pascual-Peña) forces her to examine the unchecked behaviour of her fellow students, Vivian realises she’s fed up. Inspired by her mother’s (Amy Poehler) rebellious past, Vivian anonymously publishes an underground zine called Moxie to expose bias and wrongdoing at school, and unexpectedly sparks a movement. Now at the centre of a revolution, Vivian begins to forge new friendships with other young women and allies, reaching across the divide of cliques and clubs as they learn to navigate the highs and lows of high school together.

Operation Varsity Blues, Netflix

In 2019, a scandal arose over a criminal conspiracy to influence undergraduate admissions decisions at several top American universities. The investigation into the conspiracy was code named Operation Varsity Blues. Re-enactments drive this documentary investigating the mastermind behind a scam to sneak the kids of rich and famous families (such as actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin) into top US universities. A fascinating watch.

Sentinelle, Netflix

Continuing Netflix’s run of great French dramas, Sentinelle is a new action-thriller film directed by Julien Leclercq (The Crew, The Bouncer). Transferred home after a traumatising combat mission, a highly-trained French soldier uses her lethal skills to hunt down the man who hurt her sister.

The Glorias, Now TV

This biopic follows the story of legendary journalist, activist and feminist Gloria Steinem and her role in the rise of the women’s rights movement in the 1960s. The film stars Julianne Moore, Janelle Monáe and Alicia Vikander – and is a must for anyone who enjoyed BBC drama Mrs America last year.
