23 Questions With Instagram’s Coolest Stylist
Describe your signature style?
My style is casual and feminine. I like to play around with the silhouettes and gender, like a big oversized men’s blazer with a pair of skinny, high-waisted, cropped jeans and ultra-feminine high heels; relaxed, very 70s and with a little sexiness. I feel best wearing something a bit oversized – I love being comfortable. If you mix something looser or more androgynous with a cool bag and shoes, you get a really great balance of polished and effortless style..
What are five key pieces in your wardrobe?
My Chloé high-waisted trousers, pink JW Anderson bag, Magda Butrym flower top, Stella McCartney dress and my new Fendi slides.
What are your go-to brands?
Miu Miu, Magda Butrym, Ganni, H&M, Jacquemus.
What are your favourite under-the-radar brands?
Alessandra Rich, Magda Butrym, and Jacquemus – although they’re not new new… otherwise Elenareva, Freya Dalsjø and soon, my own brand. All will be revealed soon…
What do you invest in?
Dresses and shoes, always. Sometimes bags, but it’s very rare.
What do you buy on the high street?
I love Mango dresses and H&M trousers – I have several high-waisted styles in an array of different colours.
A good outfit formula for those ‘nothing to wear’ days?
Dark grey, high-waisted skinny jeans, an oversized T-shirt and an oversized crew-neck knit. I’ll finish the look with sneakers and a trench coat.
Where do you get your style inspiration?
The runway mainly, and Instagram. I usually just follow my intuition – a nice colour combination always catches my eye.
We love how experimental you are with colour and print. What’s the key to making it work?
Go for pastel shades or brighter colours together, otherwise it can be tricky to match. When shopping, just go for the colours and prints you like and, although it might not seem like it’ll work, I’ve managed to do this several times. Then, I’ll probably tone it down with a pair of shoes or a bag in the same colour.
What’s in your suitcase for a summer vacation?
Feminine and gauzy dresses, small bikinis for maximum tanning, Havaianas sandals, Tromborg sunscreen, an oversized sweatshirt, denim shorts, a kimono, sunglasses, a big beach bag, a hairband for frizzy hair moments and heels for the evening.
Top three style tips for summer?
-
Go for shorts and get a tan while walking.
-
Free the nipple! It´s so much nicer without bikini marks.
-
Be feminine and don’t be afraid to embrace your body.
What’s your classic summer look?
A dress with a V-neck and thin straps so I can get as much sun as possible, a pair of flat sandals and a big beach bag.
Summer is most definitely wedding season – what’s your wedding guest style?
Long, gauzy dresses, covered in flowers or dots in beautiful colours.
