Dainty Jewellery, New Piercings & Mini Tattoos At This Cool Brand
CREATED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ASTRID & MIYU
With five London destinations including, a piercing studio in Selfridges and a brand new King’s Road store, Astrid & Miyu is growing fast. Here’s everything you need to know about its services…
When the brand launched piercing last year, demand sky rocketed; these days, they pierce 7 days a week across all stores and have a wide range of dainty piercing jewellery. Expect a seriously luxe service: consult with experienced piercers; choose from a variety of designs in titanium, surgical steel or solid gold; then work with an expert stylist to team your new piercings with cuffs and earrings. Prices start from £45 per lobe and £55 for cartilage. The home of the curated ear, Astrid & Miyu recently launched collections especially for cartilage piercings as well as huggies, hoops and cuffs to keep you covered.
Dainty hearts, stars and moons have become popular, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be intimidating walking into a hardened tattoo parlour to ask for the look. That’s why Astrid & Miyu established its own studio, using only the artists it thinks are best for the job. With more than eight years of experience, Alessandro specialises in line work. With the graphics team, he has designed 40 tattoos, ranging from celestial shapes to zodiacs and meaningful symbols. Prices range from £80 to £100, with new tattoo dates added frequently.
Astrid & Miyu’s roots are in seriously good jewellery. From hoops in all shapes and sizes to huggies and ear cuffs, it offers something for everyone. Start with basic large hoops – a fashion-girl essential – and follow with a mystic moon or star pendant earrings. Next add an ear cuff or two of your choice – we love the basic beaded cuff for effortless daytime style and an extra mystic ear cuff for heading out. For cartilage piercings or third lobes, stack up with huggies and teeny tiny clickers.
