Distressed Denim

The trend may have come and gone several times before, but you’ll always find a good pair of distressed jeans in my wardrobe. Effortlessness and cool, I’ll be styling mine with a rugby shirt and a pair of adidas trainers, or a buttoned-up shirt and mules for something dressier.

Grey Washes

I wear a lot of denim and trying to think of new ways to wear the same outfit often comes down to two things – the cut and the wash. I’m currently loving grey washes and styling them monochromatically. I’m also looking forward to exploring lighter washes this season.

Horseshoe Shapes

Arguably the ‘it’ style of 2024, I love the sculptural element of horseshoe jeans and how they can really elevate a simple jeans and t-shirt look into something so much more. It’s relaxed yet sophisticated – and a great day to night combo.

Denim Shirts

Double denim is one of my go-to looks and I recently bought a more classically fitted shirt to expand my options. I’ve found it to be so versatile – it goes with everything. Like with anything, there are always seasonal updates, and this year I’m keen to find something in a cream wash.

Jorts

The only one I've yet to add to my wardrobe but I'm keen to implement as soon as the weather permits is knee grazing jean shorts – or jorts – which are definitely making a comeback. They might be a bit Marmite, but the way to get them right is to opt for a pair that sit anywhere from the lower half of the thigh to just past the knee and that has a wide-leg or ever so slightly flared cut. I plan to style mine with a tucked in shirt and a modern kitten heel. Alternatively, a leather bomber jacket and cropped t-shirt with ballet flats gives off-duty model vibes. I’ve just placed an order for a pair of Gucci Bermuda shorts I saw Noorie Ana wearing – she styled them with a pair of boots and a knit, so cool.

Cuffs

I’ve been wondering whether to cuff my jeans or not. I keep finding myself gravitating towards this detail – it looks a little bit unpolished, and I like that. It looks great in contrast with something more formal on top like a blazer or a trench. I also like it with a heel or ballet flats.
