Our Favourite Shows At Milan Fashion Week
Gucci
Gucci’s in-house design team had a lot on their shoulders following Sabato De Sarno’s exit but they delivered a collection that felt bold and wearable. Oversized blazers with exaggerated lapels, butter-yellow tailoring and a striking pink-and-red blazer and skirt co-ord made for a perfect mix of glam and cool. An era-spanning collection that hinted at a fresh start for the brand.

Prada
Effortlessly cool, slightly undone and always ahead of the curve, some of our favourite Prada looks included the mocha brown leather co-ord set, miniskirts styled with oversized outerwear – all of which pointed to a younger, fresher energy not dissimilar to sister brand, Miu Miu. However, this was less about 90s nostalgia and more about shaping a new-gen wardrobe with modern staples – namely, some cool new bag silhouettes.

Fendi
Fendi’s centenary collection by Silvia Venturini Fendi leaned into 70s sophistication – think cinched-in tailoring, bold shoulders and rich earthy tones. Chocolate brown, rust and khaki dominated the palette, bringing a refined, autumnal mood the brand's signature mix of masculine and feminine silhouettes.

Jil Sander
Jil Sander made fringe feel fresh again by taking a cool, modern approach that felt distinctly new and now. Long-line silhouettes, neutral tones, a mix of structured tailoring and fluid movement nodded to the brand’s quiet luxury aesthetic with a twist.

Tod’s
This season, Tod’s mixed classic Italian craftsmanship with bold, standout pieces, including a bright red leather trench which injected just the right amount of drama, while a faux-fur scarf detail on a neutral wool coat felt chic. Elevated, everyday luxury at its finest.

Max Mara
This is the collection every working girl will want in her wardrobe next winter. Tonal dressing reigned supreme, with expertly tailored trousers, oversized wool coats and strong, structured silhouettes forming the foundation. The ultimate autumn/winter colour scheme – deep burgundies, classic camel and rich browns – made for an instantly timeless yet modern collection.

Ferragamo
Ferragamo struck the perfect balance between structure and sensuality this season. Wool and leather layers, plus sharp tailoring, made a case for modern power dressing, while liquid satin slips dialled up the glamour. And those statement red gloves? Consider them the replacements for last season's red sock-and-loafer trend – we expect to see them everywhere next autumn/winter.
