THE TRENDS

Shades Of Green

While BRAT summer was all about vibrant, punchy green, the SS25 runways are loving muted matcha and pistachio shades. Tove showed a flowing silk gown, while Erdem went for more of a classic ballgown style skirt in a deeper pastel green.

Voluminous Silhouettes

Exaggerated and oversized hems took centre stage once again, with designers like Simone Rocha and Roksanda pushing boundaries with shape and proportion. Marking a bold departure from last year's softer, more neutral colour palettes, this season embraced striking reds and vibrant pinks via billowing tulle and silk.

Minis

While maxi lengths still feel current, we were intrigued to see a plethora of 90s-style minis at JW Anderson, Emilia Wickstead and Nensi Dojaka. In fact, the first two had nearly identical cuts and styles, while Nensi Dojaka embraced its signature sexy edge with sheer fabrics.

THE STANDOUT SHOW

Tove always manages to be a show-stopper – even without any bells and whistles. Instead, it leans into expertly crafted feminine silhouettes. The hero pieces this year included floor-length silk gowns, polished outerwear and matching separates – mostly in shades of white and cream. A special mention has to go to its floor-length, baby blue gown.

THE VIRAL MOMENT

Completedworks stepped away from the traditional runway format, opting instead for a theatrical performance. Titled A Stone is a Small Mountain the 20-minute micro-play starred Dianna Agron and Lily Cole, and was set in the picturesque Gordon Square Park.

THE STREET STYLE

From long, tailored shorts to maxi outerwear, the street style made for the perfect transitional blend. We particularly loved this cobalt blue knit piece – a colour we’re hoping to see a lot more of this season – plus, this camel bomber jacket feels like a new season update on the brown leather we saw last year.

THE GUESTS & THE AFTER PARTY

This year, we were on the ground to capture the A-list attendees at one of LFW’s most highly anticipated shows. From Barry Keoghan to Lila Moss, Burberry definitely had a star-studded line-up. Later, guests headed to the British Fashion Council’s 40th Year Anniversary After Party held at the new Kensington Roof Gardens.
