THE TRENDS
Maximalist Sheer
Christopher Esber, Chloé, Victoria Beckham and Mugler all made sheer fabrics the heroes of their SS25 collections. In Milan, we saw a more feminine take, while Paris presented bolder styles with striking cut-outs and structured shapes. Christopher Esber’s viral feathered top also came as a dress too – the perfect last look to close the show.
Utility Details
From capes to cargoes – and an insanely cool, lounge-inspired two-piece at Schiaparelli – utility detailing seems to be a trend high fashion houses are still loving. Classic khaki and camel tones still dominate, but we also saw chocolate leather and sheer black at Loewe and Issey Miyake.
Boho
In her third season at Chloé, Chemena Kamali stuck to the brand’s now established signature look: cool-girl boho edge. Stella McCartney also presented a tiered, billowing dress with the same look and feel in an eye-catching cornflower blue, while Isabel Marant went for an edgier take with leather fringing. Loewe went classic boho with a handful of floral gowns with a twist (a unique flared, almost voluminous hem) after the brand’s creative director Johnathan Anderson also presented something similar at his JW Anderson show in London.
Hourglass Silhouettes
While oversized styles are going nowhere, a new season update we have our eyes on is the reintroduction of hourglass shapes – particularly within tailoring and outerwear. Celebrating a cinched waist and prominent shoulders, we love that this trend is one you can achieve with your existing blazers simply by adding a belt.
Red
Red is still front of mind for designers, influencers and high-street brands – but in Paris, a deeper crimson piqued our interest. This Chloé gown was one of our favourites, while Rochas presented a deep red suit that had a real 70s feel to it.

THE STANDOUT SHOW
Featuring sharp tailoring, fluid draping, and a muted colour palette dominated by earthy tones like green, black, and cream, it’s hard to beat an Anthony Vacerello YSL show at PFW. The brand’s signatures – think structured blazers and high-waisted trousers – were reimagined with feminine details, while classic tailoring was complemented by vibrant jackets, skirts and short sets.
THE MOMENT
Alongside reimagined classic tweeds with a modern, laidback twist, monochrome suits, lace dresses and metallic accents, Chanel's SS25 show also featured a live performance by Daisy Jones & The Six star Riley Keough.
THE DEBUT
Alessandro Michele’s much-anticipated debut for Valentino at an opulent Parisian venue drew an A-list crowd – including Harry Styles, who made a stylish appearance in support of his long-time friend and collaborator. Michele’s signature maximalism was blended with Valentino’s timeless elegance, resulting in a collection that was both daring and refined. The runway featured a vibrant mix of rich textures, bold prints and dramatic silhouettes, with plenty of nods to classic Italian tailoring – think billowing capes, oversized blazers and intricate embroidery, all in Michele’s unmistakable eclectic style.
