A Stylish Influencer On Her Style Rules & An Exciting New Launch

We were already fans of Lisa Grenn’s chic and wearable style, so naturally, we were keen to see what her own brand – Grènn Studio – would look like. Here, Lisa tells us more about the launch, as well as the style rules she personally lives by.

My style is best described as effortless, elegant and timeless. It’s a blend of Parisian chic and Scandinavian minimalism. I like to look elegant and chic but my outfit also needs to feel practical and comfortable. I tend to focus on high-quality pieces that stand the test of time and things that can be mixed and matched for different occasions.

I recently launched my own brand, Grènn Studio. Each collection will build on the previous one, and feature seasonless designs for the everyday wardrobe. Quality, design, and versatility are the cornerstones of the brand. My aim was to create pieces that can be worn repeatedly in various ways without losing their appeal.

The first chapter of Grènn Studio is a dress. I believe it’s one of the most feminine and versatile pieces you can own. You can dress it up or down, depending on the occasion – and the ease of a dress is what makes it so appealing.

If you’re in a style rut, EXPERIMENT AND REVISIT OLD FAVOURITES in your wardrobe to REDISCOVER WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT THEM.

The Grènn Studio dress is simple, effortless and chic. It transitions easily from day to night and can be worn in many ways for seasons to come. What I love about this particular style is that it's not fitted but it still has a structured design, which gives you enough room to move, while still maintaining that elegant, sexy Parisian feel.

Sustainability and exclusivity are also important to the brand. I collaborated with a small luxury manufacturer in London, closely following every step of the production process to ensure the best quality and craftsmanship. By sourcing deadstock fabric from French and Italian luxury houses and producing locally in London.

Each new drop will focus on neutral colours that are easy to mix and match. I wanted to ensure that each piece could be styled in multiple ways, allowing for endless combinations.

Inspired? Here are Lisa’s rules & tips for stylish dressing…

Wear what makes you comfortable and don’t follow trends blindly. Build your wardrobe around the pieces you love and feel your best in, and make sure that new additions can be mixed and matched with your existing items to create versatile looks.

Experiment with different textures and accessories. Style is about expressing your personality through your clothes. If you’re in a style rut, experiment and revisit old favourites in your wardrobe to rediscover what you love about them. Sometimes, styling pieces in new ways can give you a fresh perspective.

Rely on those key pieces. For example, a good blazer is undoubtedly the easiest way to elevate any outfit. It’s so versatile and can be styled in plenty of ways. I love oversized blazers with a wide shoulder. One of my favourite pieces is a vintage YSL men's blazer I bought in Paris a few years ago. It complements almost everything in my wardrobe and inspired one of my upcoming designs.

Add statement accessories to make a basic outfit stand out. I love a bold gold ring or earrings and a pair of chic sunglasses. One of my favourite brands is Aboab from New York. I wear on of its gold rings a lot. I also find that belts can add an interesting edge. I love Taljé for its high-quality, timeless and minimalistic designs.

Don’t underestimate the power of a good shoe. I believe any outfit can look different depending on the footwear. If I have a busy day ahead of me and need to walk a lot, I opt for trainers or flats and build my outfit around them. Living in London, the weather is always a factor, so I often choose practical but still chic options. Strappy sandals are a favourite – they work well with jeans, trousers or a dress depending on the occasion.

TIMELESS BLAZERS and OUTERWEAR IN NEUTRAL COLOURS are the two items I spend money on as THEY GO WITH EVERYTHING and last for years.

Seek out independent brands. I really like Attire, which was founded by Xenia Adonts. Her commitment to transparency and sustainability has inspired me a. Attire uses only organic natural fabrics, which has been a focal point for me as a brand owner. I still love and wear everything I have from that brand and the quality really stands out. Another Tomorrow is also a brand with a very ethical approach and exceptional staples. Other favourites include Almada Label and Rohe.

Think about the overall balance of a look. I love oversized blazers and shirts but to balance the look, it can be a good idea to show a bit of skin or pair them with more fitted pieces. For example, I might roll up the sleeves of a blazer or wear it with heels to maintain a more flattering silhouette. Adding a belt helps to balance out the proportions. It's about creating harmony in your outfit, ensuring that one element doesn't overwhelm the rest.

Invest in pieces you can mix and match. Focus on high-quality items that make you feel confident and comfortable. A capsule wardrobe should reflect your personal style. I love a white button-down shirt as it can be styled in so many ways – wear it with shorts in the summer and it also works with jeans, skirts or even tied over a bikini on holidays. Sessei has some of the best. A good hat also adds a personal touch to any outfit.

Spend a bit more on jewellery, handbags, blazers and outerwear. These are the items that you keep the longest in your wardrobe and even pass down the generations. You can elevate any outfit with a nice piece of jewellery. For example, I wear my Cartier Juste Un Clou ring every day. I also splurge on bags because I know I will keep them for a lifetime, and I hope to pass them on to my daughter one day. Timeless blazers and outerwear in neutral colours are the two items I spend money on as they go with everything and last for years.

Draw inspiration from different places and people. I get most inspired when I see women start their own businesses. I recently discovered the female founded AI powered platform plush. It's a game changer when you’re looking for a dress. Instead of having to browse lots of different retailers, you can just type in exactly what you’re looking for and it gives you the best options. I’ve also really been enjoying following Amy Appleton Dreyer's journey to create Blackbird Collection – the curation of items is so inspiring.
