Behind The Scenes Of Our Exciting Launch!
Welcome back to SheerLuxe BTS. This time, we take you behind the scenes on our journey to build & launch the new SheerLuxe Community App. First, join the marketing team during their initial meetings with our agency The Dots, and their founder Pip. We give you an insight into how & why we started this project, and Lucielle also takes us through the goodie bags she’s packing for our founding members before the wider team then gets a first look at the app’s layout & functionality. We then chat to Georgie about her motivation & reasoning behind transitioning our SheerLuxe Community website hub over to an app space. Finally, we start setting up for our app launch party in the office, where we pack some goodie bags, decorate the space & prepare food & drinks, until over 80 of our founding members join the team to celebrate the launch of the app.

Celebrating Ramadan With Our First SheerLuxe Iftar
Welcome back to SheerLuxe BTS! Join the team and friends of SL for a BTS of our first ever Iftar in celebration of Ramadan. First up, we head over to the event at the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair while Mahmuda gives Charlotte and India a quick overview of the importance of Ramadan and how it is observed. The team then starts setting up before the event unfolds, and we also meet Baroness Shaista Gohir OBE and chat with some of our guests about their experiences with fasting and religion. The dinner starts with a Surah recitation given by Nusaiba Mohammad-Timol, followed by a breaking of the fast with some dates, and then Baroness Gohir and Georgie give a speech about the importance of showing solidarity with Muslims. Finally, our guests go around the table introducing themselves, speaking about their backgrounds and what it means to be a modern Muslim woman.
