The Luxe List: April

The Luxe List: April

Here, the SL team shares a selection of their new favourite things. From the fashion team’s new launch of choice to the latest beauty must-have, our monthly Luxe List offers all the inspiration you need...

BEAUTY: Violette_Fr

French make-up artist Violette has launched her first beauty line. The collection has been in development for three years and focuses on clean, but highly pigmented formulas, and packaging that is both beautiful and environmentally conscious. Of the launch, we love the look of the Baum Shine highlighter and Boum-Boum Milk, an all-in-one cream spray designed to streamline your skincare regime.

COFFEE TABLE BOOK: Hamptons Private

The Hamptons is synonymous with luxury – just mentioning the name conjures images of poolside soirées, waterfront estates and endless days on the beach. Maison Assouline’s new book, Hamptons Private, invites readers to peek behind the manicured hedges in Amagansett, charter a yacht off the shore of the Springs, experience the surfer’s haven of Ditch Plains and attend a polo match in Bridgehampton, with each page demonstrating why Beyonce, Andy Warhol and Jackson Pollock have all lived here.

AL FRESCO RESTAURANT: Marle

On 14th April, Skye Gyngell and the team at Heckfield Place will launch Marle on the Italian Terrace restaurant, which has views over the grounds, woodlands and upper lake. The pop-up restaurant will run until 9th May and will be suitable for all weathers with a canopy, blankets, fire pits and sheepskins. Skye will be creating a menu of pared-back, elegant dishes with ingredients freshly picked from the gardens and farm. Expect the likes of rhubarb tart with peach blossom ice-cream.

SCENT: Mixed Emotions by Byredo

Mixed Emotions is the newest release by SL favourite Byredo. Drawing on the perfume house’s philosophy of translating memories and abstract ideas into scent, Mixed Emotions offers a sketch of our current, collective state of mind. Comforting notes of maté and the sharp sweetness of cassis sit within woody undertones, alongside notes of black tea and violet leaf synthetics.

SUBSCRIPTION: Lucy’s Wine

Founder Lucy quit her job to start Lucy’s Wine during the pandemic. Now, she handpicks a selection of natural, organic and sustainable wines, turning them into selection boxes each month. Each box features a simple description of each wine, as well as some more ‘winey’ descriptions for those who want it. Don’t know where to start? The ‘Spring Starter Box’ features a fresh Portuguese branco, an organic rose from Provence and an Italian frizzante.
