Ulla Johnson X Cabana
Exclusively at NET-A-PORTER for this season, Ulla Johnson and interior design authority Cabana have teamed up for a High Summer tableware collection, the fashion brand’s first foray into home décor. Featuring an assortment of beautiful pieces perfect for summer entertaining, items include botanical patterned tablecloths and plates, hand-embroidered and dyed placemats and napkins, custom Murano water glasses, and – a true conversation piece – a complimentary pouf printed in hibiscus florals from the Ulla Johnson Pre-Fall 2023 season.
Fortnum & Mason has arrived in Cornwall to offer the ultimate staycation experience. The iconic department store has unveiled a trio of its famous ‘Eau de Nil’ coloured beach huts on the cliffs at Watergate Bay. In partnership with chef, author and restaurateur Emily Scott, the beach huts are filled with a choice of hampers filled with Fortnum’s-style indulgence. We like the sound of the Seaside Feast, which comes with lobster and black truffle; and Scotch eggs paired with salad cream and pickled mustard seeds. The huts are open until 10th September.
THE SWIMWEAR DROP:
Whistles x The Longing
Whistles has collaborated on a high-summer swim collection with uber-cool lifestyle brand, The Longing. While Whistles has long been a staple of our wardrobes; The Longing is a relatively new brand – emerging just last year – but has already cemented itself as a cool one-to-know and is renowned for its high-quality towels. And what goes better together than towels and swimwear? The limited-edition collection features ten beautifully-cut swim styles – bikini separates and swimsuits – that have a distinctly sporty feel to them with high-leg cuts and cool open-back designs. The palette for this collection is very earthy and beachy, think: terracotta, ecru, sky-blue, warm chocolates and funky wave-print patterns – reminiscent of ‘70s Cali surf girls.
THE BEAUTY LAUNCH:
Prada Beauty launches today. Stocked in Harrods and Selfridges, the range features everything from Prada Skin to sophisticated refillable packaging to precisely intentional colour composites and sensorial skin-fusing formulas. Created and developed by global creative makeup artist Lynsey Alexander, the collection is an invitation to play and experiment and takes inspiration from Prada’s vast archive – from its infamous ready-to-wear collection to signature fashion heroes. We love the look of its Prada Colour collection, which is infused with futuristic ‘smart tech-xtures’ technology, offering hyper-flexible, breathable and blendable formulas that perform throughout the day.
THE WELLNESS COLLAB:
Carlton Tower X Grown Alchemist
The Peak Fitness Club & Spa at The Carlton Tower Jumeirah has launched a partnership with Grown Alchemist, offering guests and members the brand’s new Regenerator Facial and Body Release Massage. The treatment menu has been carefully chosen to address the impacts of urban living and busy lifestyles, working in synergy with your skin’s unique biology to help repair natural functions, decelerate signs of ageing and restore radiance. Each treatment involves a combination of signature techniques, including neurolymphatic stimulation, an anti-pollution mist infusion and cryotherapy.
THE NEW SEASON LAUNCH:
The nightwear as outerwear trend is a favourite at SL, and is showing no sign of slowing down next season. Sleeper, arguably the champion of this look, has unveiled its first warm-fabric collection – thus rendering the brand’s trademark look a little more cold-weather appropriate. Amongst the collection, there are new heavy-weight blazers, maxi dresses, sweaters and luxe quilted jackets – the famed feather trim makes an appearance, of course. The brand’s dreamy fall-winter range, launching at the start of August, is making the end of summer a little more palatable and giving us all the party season inspiration.

This month, Experimental Group will launch its first UK project outside London. The 17th-century manor house will offer 36 spacious rooms, alongside a garden room, bar and lounge – home to Experimental Cocktail Club Cotswolds – an indoor restaurant and a 50-cover outdoor terrace, library, spa and two swimming pools. All areas are being reimagined by Dorothée Meilichzon, who has designed many of the group’s properties across Europe – think Grand Pigalle Hôtel and Hôtel des Grands Boulevards.
The Berkeley Rooftop Bar
As of today, five-star hotel The Berkeley’s pretty rooftop is home to a new bar – and it's available to all. Usually reserved for staying guests, for the rest of the summer The Berkeley Rooftop Bar will open for evenings, offering a great al fresco escape to soak up the views over Hyde Park and Knightsbridge. Sitting poolside, guests will be able to order refreshing spritzes and Mediterranean small plates, such as marinated squid with courgette spaghetti, daikon, sesame and ginger dressing. Guests can book a table or opt for a striped lounger, which will be for walk-ins only.
An SL favourite for whimsical, unapologetically feminine summer dresses and separates, LoveShackFancy is celebrating its 10 year anniversary with a special edition collection. Pulling inspiration from an archive of over 2000 hand-painted florals, handmade laces, and vintage textiles - the brand has picked its most-loved elements from the past to create a new limited edition capsule. The first dress created by founder and creative director Tebecca Hessel Cohen - a hand-dyed halter - has been reimagined, alongside other classic designs in pretty new colourways and romantic silhouettes.
