THE INTERIORS LAUNCH:
Mark D Sikes X Schumacher
Mark D Sikes has designed a collection of beautiful indoor/outdoor fabrics for New York-based furniture designer Schumacher. The prints are pretty, playful and sophisticated, and are arranged in fresh colour groupings in blues and whites, green and whites, and neutrals. We like ‘Posy’, a stylish high-performance fabric that’s inspired by traditional Moroccan tiles and stands up to the elements. A versatile geometric design forms a subtle stripe in this pattern that’s perfect for outdoor furniture upholstery, cushions or windows.

THE HOTEL:
Art’otel, Battersea Power Station
A new hotel has opened next to Battersea Power Station. Fusing art, design and hospitality, it features a striking rooftop bar and pool, JOIA Restaurant & Bar, TOZI Grand Cafe, a collection of treatment rooms, a gym and an art gallery. We love the look of JOIA, an Iberian restaurant on the top floors. The menu showcases head chef Sá Pessoa’s love of Catalonia and Portugal, with dishes including octopus salad with red pepper, potato and smoked paprika; and salted cod with shoestring potatoes, parsley and black olive – served with an raw egg yolk and mixed tableside for a theatrical dinner.
THE COLLABORATION:
COS X Linda Farrow
High-street favourite COS has just launched a limited-edition capsule collection with luxury eyewear designer Linda Farrow. The edit consists of nine iconic pieces, all of which pay homage to designer Linda Farrow’s trademark 70s aesthetic. Among our favourites are the oversized square frames, a narrow rectangular frame crafted from high-shine cream acetate and an oversized D-frame aviator.

THE SINGER:
Heidrunna
Heidrunna (Heidrun Anna Bjornsdottir) is an Icelandic synthpop singer/songwriter based in London – and we can’t get enough of her dream-like new single, ‘YCBCC’. From her latest album, Melodramatic, we also love ‘Borderline’ – and its remix by NZCA Lines is just the kind of upbeat track we want to soundtrack us into spring. Her forthcoming east London show is sold out, but keep an eye out for further dates later in the year.

THE SPA:
The Spa at 45 Park Lane
For the first time since 2011, The Spa at 45 Park Lane is open for hotel guests. The modern space features a swimming pool with an artistic floral mosaic created by Venetian artisans using traditional Roman-style tiles as a backdrop, plus a sauna, steam room, hydro pool, state-of-the-art gym and relaxation area. Guests can enjoy treatments using Ishga or Valmont products. A lounge overlooks the pool, encouraging guests to relax before or after a workout, treatment or swim. Within the lounge there’s an open fireplace as well as a varied menu of healthy dishes. Reflecting the hotel’s strong connections with the art world, curator Lily Ackerman has selected a series of works by American fine-art photographer Jin-Woo Prensena and British sculptor Jill Berelowitz to decorate the space.
