Florence Answers Your Personal Shopping Questions
I need some summer-appropriate work outfits – any recommendations?
Linen separates are so useful in the summer and right now, Abercrombie & Fitch has a great selection. I especially like this peplum top – it’s available in three colours and the trousers are also very versatile. This navy linen suit at Massimo Dutti is also perfect for the office.
Where do you recommend shopping for swimwear on the high street?
Oysho is really underrated. The styles are so classic and simple – I especially like the one-piece swimsuits this year.
Could you find me a summer dress that feels casual enough for daytime but could also work for an evening out?
This pale pink style by & Other Stories is so pretty. I would style it with a raffia bag and flats for the daytime and then for the evening, I’d add heels, some statement earrings and a gold clutch.
Is there a cool straw hat out there that will also protect my face from the sun?
Bucket shaped raffia hats are so chic and & Other Stories does a great one. If you’re willing to invest a bit more, TOTEME also has a lovely option. I’m planning to wear this Exuma style by Monday Swimwear this summer. Other brands I would check out include Lack of Color and Janessa Leone.
Have you seen any good tote bags for work that also have a zip?
The Demellier Stockholm tote bag is perfect – it’s a modern silhouette and has a zip. I also really recommend the Club bag by Verafied and this TOTEME tote is so understated and practical – perfect for work.
I’m looking for a stylish polka-dot dress that would work for summer events…
I love polka dots for special occasions and the silhouette of this ASOS style – with the cut-out detail – is lovely. Reformation always does a polka dot so well; the Jessamine dress is a timeless choice.
I’m looking for a cover-up for my upcoming holiday…
This just dropped on Massimo Dutti and caught my eye straight away. The broderie anglaise details make it look seriously expensive.
Currently on the hunt for a second, floor-length dress for my wedding in Puglia – any brands I should check out?
Look at Simkhai; the brand has such stunning bridal pieces. Highlights include this full-length sequinned style and this maxi style with cut-out details; both will make such a chic statement.
