Mesh ballet flats don’t seem to be going anywhere, so I’ve decided to fully commit to the trend with this black pair from Mango. The gold studs add a bit of polish and turn them into more of a day-to-night choice. Throughout spring/summer, I tend to stick to light linens and minimalist denim, so a good sandal is a must-have. These suede ones from  Massimo Dutti tick all the boxes – the metallic toe adds just the right amount of interest.

When it comes to spring footwear, I’m all about styles that are equal parts comfortable and polished. These red mesh pumps from Dear Frances have quickly become my go-to – they’re breathable, walkable and add just the right amount of colour to a look. For something more classic, I’m loving these chunky brown Jil Sander loafers, which I would style with ribbed ankle socks for the perfect mix of masculine and cool. And on those days when I want to feel a little more elevated, these pointed mules from Jimmy Choo are chic, understated and work with everything from tailored trousers to a slip dress.

I discovered the small brand Amanu at the start of this season and love this embellished style for something a bit different – they'll add interest to the simplest of outfits. In the spring and summer, I live in a thong sandal but on slightly cooler days, I love a suede loafer.

Last spring/summer, the hardest-working shoes in my wardrobe were my mesh flats – they went with everything and felt perfectly appropriate for both the office and holidays. This season, I’m looking for a fresh update, starting with this white pair from ARKET. I also love the bold colour of these red pointed mules from Tove – such a statement and effortlessly chic. Finally, there are the Prada tassel loafers – a true wish list piece. I love the blend of classic and contemporary styling; they’d be incredibly versatile in my wardrobe.

I've always loved the minimalist shape of the Tripon sandals by Jil Sander and these ones from Zara Home are a great dupe. Miu Miu’s boat shoes have also been on my wish list – and this Reformation pair captures the same relaxed, preppy vibe at a more accessible price point. I’ll be wearing them with loose denim and tees all summer. Finally, A.Emery’s faux snakeskin sandals. I have a feeling snakeskin will be my new neutral this season.
