The Evening Piece

I never thought I’d be a lacy-skirt kind of girl but I was hyper-fixated on Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s Saint Laurent look and took so much inspiration from the women I saw at a recent Elle Sasson dinner – namely Nadia Phillips and Hannah Lewis who co-hosted. Its new-season pieces are black, lacy and incredibly easy to wear with silky separates, denim or tailored trousers.

The UltraLuxe Piece

It’s totally ridiculous and gloriously OTT, but I’m obsessed with this furry, tasseled Bottega bag. The brand is so synonymous with intrecciato, it’s refreshing to see a more playful shape from the house.

The Trouser Detail

Waist-detail trousers are everywhere right now and, for me, they’re the antidote to my usual knit-and-trouser or suit formula. One small detail – but enough to make an outfit feel like you’ve made an effort.

The Statement Ring

I love a good statement ring and Jacquemus rarely disappoints when it comes to cool jewellery. This is the kind of piece that does all the talking.

The Tinted Specs

I have a bit of an obsession with tinted sunglasses and specs, so this new shape from Bottega went straight onto my wish list. The right pair can completely shift the mood of an outfit – and these feel particularly fashion-forward.

The Leather Jacket

I could put together an entire edit of the leather jackets I want but this affordable Topshop style is top of the list. The silver details and slightly unusual shape make it a little bit different but it’s still so wearable.

The Going-Out Top

Cool, slightly edgy and still feminine, I’d style this top with baggy tailored trousers and a leopard-print bag to give it a little more attitude.

The Peplum Renaissance

To my surprise, peplum is back – and it’s cooler than I remember. I’ve particularly enjoyed seeing the shape reappear in jackets. An oversized fit feels more modern, while the subtle cinch brings just enough definition to make it feel fresh.

The Party Hero

I saw this Posse set and instantly knew it was the look I wanted to emulate come party season. The layered detail feels very Prada-esque, while the pink-and-red palette is an easy way to move away from monochrome.

The Faux-Fur Scarf

I’m getting ahead of myself because it’s definitely not faux-fur scarf weather yet but I love what this does to a look. Draped over suiting or a simple coat, it adds colour, texture and a little bit of drama.

The Accessory Trend

After buying the By Malene Birger brooch and realising I could – and wanted to – pin it onto almost everything I own, I’m fully converted. It’s such an easy way to make a simple outfit feel more considered.

The Funnel Neck

The silk version of this funnel-neck jacket served me well last season, so naturally I’m now coveting the leather one. It’s a brilliant styling shortcut – throw it over tailored trousers and you’re basically dressed.

The Cool Mules

Since getting hold of these Tory Burch mules, I’ve worn them with practically everything. The silver toe detail gives even the simplest outfit a lift, while the clean shape and hidden heel make them genuinely comfortable.

The Perfect Clutch

As soon as I saw this Mango clutch in Paris, I swapped out whichever bag I was carrying. I was instantly converted. It’s chic, roomy and goes with everything – the ideal plus-one.
