The Summer Workwear Heroes Our Editors Rely On

When it comes to summer workwear, I rely on a few key pieces that make getting dressed feel effortless. A full white skirt is one of my biggest heroes – it's a true neutral that works with everything from crisp shirts to tailored blazers, making it an easy office-appropriate option even on the warmest days. Equally hardworking is a pale blue shirt; it pairs seamlessly with other neutrals but also looks great styled with pops of red or rich burgundy accessories. A neutral jacket is the perfect finishing touch, pulling a look together and adding a polished feel without overpowering the outfit. Finally, lace-up pumps are a chic alternative to flip-flops, striking the perfect balance between comfort and sophistication.

At this time of year I love tailored linen for my workwear wardrobe – like these crisp white trousers from Massimo Dutti. When it comes to shoes, if it has to be heels, these from Whistles are the most versatile style. My Dragon Diffusion tote bag is such a perfect size for everyday essentials. Good shirts are another key part of my work outfit formulas – I love this red one for interest.

My summer go-to is always a great dress. I love how easy they are to throw on and instantly look put-together. I’ll also be able to style this red knitted dress throughout the year. In summer I lean into linen as it’s so versatile. These brown tailored shorts are perfect to style with so many different looks. An oversized stripe shirt is a classic piece that I love with tailored shorts and trousers. A great workwear bag is a must, and brown moc is a style that will never go out of fashion.

My summer office looks are built around pieces that work without looking like they're trying hard. The Róhe red trousers are my current obsession – a bold colour instantly elevates even the simplest of outfits – contrasted with the ARKET oversized pink shirt. The Matteau dress is my go-to when I want to look smart but with minimal effort, and the Reformation tote fits everything. Finally, the Reformation heeled mules strike that perfect balance between comfort and polish.
