What The SL Team Are Buying For Spring

We spend a lot of time telling you what you should be buying, but what about the items we’re investing in ourselves? Here’s what the SL team are putting on their new season wish list…
1. H&M Dress, 29.99 | 2. Isabel Marant Sweater, £610 | 3. Nannacay Tote, £140 | 4. & Other Stories Earrings, £23 | 5. & Other Stories Trench Coat, £155 | 6. Mango Heels, £89.99

1.

I’m ditching trousers for spring in favour of more flattering dresses – this pink and green number is a winner for everyday.

2.

I’m a sucker for a chunky knit, and this hot pink offering is the perfect spring layering piece.

3.

The straw bag is pretty ubiquitous these days, but this one stands out from the pack. The perfect piece to offset my endless collection of white beach dresses.

4.

These earrings look so high end, and I’m ready for a refreshing break from statement gold.

5.

There’s something so polished and smart about a trench, and I love how this version has modern details for a more contemporary take.

6.

Asymmetric details are an easy shortcut to cool style, so I’ll be snapping up these Mango heels to make simple summer dresses more directional.

1.

Wide leg white jeans offer a fresh update on denim for spring.

2.

I love this grown-up version of the bucket bag – it's minimalist, slick and polished.

3.

This Intropia blouse is a modern update on a classic Oxford shirt.

4.

It may be spring but the weather in England is so temperamental, layers are key.

5.

Kitten heels are a still a big trend for this season, and this & Other Stories pair would go with everything.

6.

It's never too early to buy great swimwear and Matteau is the brand to invest in.

1. Preen Line Dress, £420 | 2. Sandro Denim Jacket, £420 | 3. Intropia Skirt, £172 | 4. Preen Blouse, £735 | 5. Mango Earrings, £9.99 | 6. Massimo Dutti Silk Coat, £349

Georgie Coleridge Cole, SL Founder & Editor

1.

Ultra girly with an asymmetric hem adding a cool twist, this is ideal for Spring/Summer occasions.

2.

I love how Sandro has upped the ante on the classic spring denim jacket.

3.

This pretty piece looks so expensive – I love its semi-sheer finish.

4.

Floral blouses are perfect for spring, and this orange print is just a bit different.

5.

You can’t go wrong with a statement gold earring, and you don’t have to splash out to get the look.

6.

This luxe update on the classic trench is a high street must-have.

1. & Other Stories Leather Skirt, £165 | 2. Madeworn T-Shirt, £150 | 3. Massimo Dutti Blazer, £139 | 4. Ganni Pumps, £180 | 5. Zara Earrings, £ 9.99 | 6. Ganni Track Pants, £130

1.

I've been after a leather skirt like these for ages but all the really nice ones are so expensive. & Other Stories has excelled itself with this – the leather is butter-soft and could pass for designer.

2.

I love a rock'n'roll tee under a blazer with heels and polished make-up in the evening. It's got that 'i haven't really tried' vibe to it.

3.

There's something so cool but also polished about a white blazer. I'll be pairing this with a simple white tee or sheer blouse.

4.

Ganni is the brand on everyone's lips right now and these bow heels add just the right amount of girly to a look.

5.

The side stripe trend is going nowhere. Go pink for a more fun, less sporty look.
