Where To Find Professional Interior Design Advice
CREATED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH NEPTUNE
The Designs Are Exclusive To You
With nearly 25 years of furniture making to their name, it’s no surprise that’s Neptune’s collection extends to every room in the home. They’re perhaps best known for their kitchen cabinetry (with tailor-made designs for laundry and utility rooms), as well as freestanding pieces such as solid timber dressers and traditionally-upholstered sofas. But, they’ve also lent their signature, timeless aesthetic to everything from water-based paints, wallcoverings and flooring (like engineered oak boards and tumbled flagstones) to lighting, accessories and made-to-measure curtains and blinds.
It’s Money Well Spent
The whole service – from initial concepts to the final designs – costs just £300 for the first room and £200 for each room after that. That said, if you end up spending £5,000 on a room, the design fee will then be deducted. Alternatively, if you have a budget in mind, just let your designer know so they can help you stick to it. Because this is your project, all appointments can happen at times which are convenient for you – even out of hours if you work full-time or are busy with children during the day.
Interested? Here’s What To Expect From The Design Process…
First, You’ll Meet Your Designer
When you embark on your design project with Neptune, you’ll work with your own dedicated designer. They’ll be your sounding board, your impartial second opinion and your guiding hand. They’re there to take the stress out of redecorating and smoothen the decision-making process. Brimming with creative ideas and fizzing with clever design solutions, each one of Neptune’s designers lives, breathes and, quite often, dreams interiors. They’re experts when it comes to the collections, and are adept at pulling together a winning colour palette.
Then, You’ll Have Your First Consultation
Everything begins with some one-to-one time with your personal designer at your chosen Neptune store or over a video call. This is where you’ll get to talk through ideas, and your designer will also take you through the collections and answer any questions you might have. This appointment will usually last about 60-90 minutes and is also completely free.
The At-Home Design Visit Comes Next
The next step is a home visit from your designer for a more in-depth design session, usually lasting between several hours and a whole day, depending on the size of your project. Together, you’ll go over colour palettes, samples, textiles and layouts, and your designer will also take detailed measurements. By the time they leave, they’ll have a clearer picture of what your vision entails. Alternatively, you can also opt to hold this visit virtually, amid the current climate.
You’ll Then Receive A Design Presentation
When your designs are ready (usually about two weeks later), you’ll be invited back into store for a presentation of the proposed scheme and to make any final changes. You’ll see a mood board, sample board, to-scale sketch and a detailed quote to help you visualise your new space. If you’re happy, your designer will place the order and put the wheels in motion. Or, if you want to take everything home and mull it over, you can go back and make a final decision when you’re ready. Again, this can all be done virtually if that suits you better.
Finally, On Installation Day…
Look out for the Neptune van – everything will come in one go rather than in multiple batches. The Neptune team will then unwrap, assemble and position all your furniture, before taking away all the packaging for recycling. Your designer will be there too, to style your home so that by the time your dedicated team leave, all that’s left for you to do is sit back and enjoy.
