During the first lockdown, sisters Katie and Georgie Barber founded Hutch – a second-hand furniture and homeware market which connects buyers and sellers via a single platform. Alongside a passion for good design, the company is also driven by its environmental purpose, too. Around 22 million pieces of furniture are discarded in the UK each year, most of which heads straight to landfill. Launching later this month, Hutch is offering homeware products from a select group of 25 sellers, with plans to grow to 100 sellers within a year.
