Best For Yoga With A View: Yogarise

Because Yogarise takes its classes outside during the summer months, you can now practise your sun salutations on the rooftop of Peckham’s Bussey Building. Weather permitting, book in for a dynamic vinyasa flow every Saturday and Sunday morning at 9:30am from June until the end of August. Designed to build strength as well as calm the mind with focused breathwork, classes open with sun salutations before moving on to standing and seated asanas and conclude with a blissful savasana.

THE DETAILS: Pre-booking is essential as outdoor class spots sell out quickly. First-timers can get their first 21 days at Yogarise for £40. If you’re just dropping in, an individual class costs £16.

Best For A Weekend Challenge: Psycle Bootcamp

Fans of Psycle’s iconic spin classes should keep an eye out for the studio’s outdoor bootcamps, which return this summer. Unlike any Psycle class you’ve done before, sessions kick off in Battersea Park with an outdoor strength session before running as a group over to Psycle’s Notting Hill studio for an invigorating 45-minute ride. The perfect challenge for any budding triathlete, this three-part workout will build lean muscle, kickstart cardiovascular fitness and improve endurance.

THE DETAILS: Psycle’s summer bootcamp will be held on various dates throughout the summer – keep an eye online for updates.

If you live or work near King’s Cross, be sure to try Frame’s outdoor barre classes. Taking place every Wednesday morning, the 7:15am class is accompanied by a boyband-focused playlist while the later 8:15am session is the studio’s signature barre session. Held by master trainer Eian, both classes use small, controlled movements to build mental and physical stamina, as well as targeting the glutes, quads, core and back for a stronger, leaner physique.

THE DETAILS: Tickets cost £16 and include a green juice, Frame homemade smoothie and Phizz hydration tablets.

Best For An Early Morning Session: Swift Fitness

Swift has been hosting outdoor bootcamps across the capital since 2008, which are now available in five locations – including Clapham, London Bridge, Borough, Highbury Fields and Hilly Fields. Unlike other bootcamps, Swift mixes up its workouts weekly to keep the body challenged. Expect intervals, circuits, team games and conditioning segments. The only constant is your calorie burn – the Swift experts claim you’ll burn approximately 600 calories in a single session.

THE DETAILS: Your first seven days are free, and there’s zero contract or commitments afterwards. If you do decide to continue, prices vary depending on location.
