The Best New Beauty Buys For November

The Best New Beauty Buys For November

From new, playful make-up to rich, balmy skincare, this month’s new beauty buys are as good as ever. Here's what's on our wish-list this month…

MAKE-UP MARVELS:

& Other Stories Desert Nine Large Eyeshadow Palette, £27

We love & Other Stories beauty for their long-wearing, pigmented formulas and their latest palette is no exception. Brimming with copper, pink and silver shades, it’s all you need for a wearable day-to-day smokey eye. Plus, the glittery colours are all completely biodegradable, so you never have to feel guilty about piling on the shimmer.

Benefit Brow Styler, £29

Part pencil, part loose powder, Benefit’s latest brow launch fuses together some of the best things about their go-to products. Put simply, the wand side works to sculpt arches for a clean, shaped finish, while the other end uses the powder to fill in any gaps for a believably full finish. You can use just one end, or double up for extra definition – either way, you’ll notice a fluffy, brushed-up finish immediately.

Bobbi Brown Intensive Silk Serum Foundation SPF 40, £48

Reformulated with new technology and skin-perfecting herbs, this popular foundation is back with a silkier texture than ever before. Loaded with botanicals like lychee and green apple, its texture is weightless, hydrating and sheer, yet it still delivers even-toned coverage in just a few pumps. It’s not just the formula that’s had a makeover either – it now comes with a useful pump action dispenser, giving you just the right amount of product each time. The addition of SPF 40 is a real bonus too for those who often forget to include it in their daily routine.

Victoria Beckham Bitten Lip Tint, £30

Laced with hyaluronic acid and squalane, Victoria Beckham’s new lip tint does so much more than provide a wash of colour. It visibly plumps the lips for a fuller effect, hydrates and is non-sticky, so can be dabbed onto cheeks, too, for extra colour. The shade itself is very sheer, but gives a very pretty flush that suits all skin tones, and really goes the distance - you’ll find it’s still on come 6pm.

Tom Ford Soleil Neige Glow Stick, £42

Doubling up as a blush and highlighter, both ends provide velvety coverage that’s malleable and long-lasting, so it won’t wear off fast, unlike some cream formulas. We love the crayon-esque design that allows you to scribble it onto skin and buff in with either fingers or a brush for glossy and expensive-looking skin.

Available at TomFord.com

Pat McGraths ChromaLuxe Hi-Lite Cream, £25

Multi-purpose, this gel-cream highlighter can be dotted along cheekbones, brow bones, lids – anywhere you want a hint of gleam – and then blended in with fingers for a wet-look glow. It mixes well with other products, too, including chunky glitter particles for a statement eye.

SAVVY SKINCARE:

Paula’s Choice Super Hydrate Overnight Mask, £7.00

For those who prefer no-rinse skincare, look no further than this new overnight mask. Loaded with Nordic ingredients like reishi mushroom and arctic cloudberry, the gentle formula is aimed at those with sensitive skin and it quickly reduces redness, dry patches and feelings of tightness, too. Use a thick layer and massage it in firmly for the best results.

Available at Skincity.com

Curel Moisture Facial Milk, £17.50

New to the UK, this is Japan’s number-one brand for sensitive skin and it’s finally landed in Boots. Each product has been designed to reduce inflammation and boost hydration, ridding their formulas of fragrances and coloured pigments. Our favourite from the range is this gentle milk that’s jam-packed with ceramides to keep skin hydrated, plump and soft, while protecting the skin’s moisture barrier. It will leave your complexion feeling firmer and more refined with a price tag that’s actually affordable, too.

Available at Boots.com

Ameliorate Intensive Skin Therapy, £15

If you’ve not heard of this brand, know that it’s one of the best for ridding skin of scaliness and hard-to-remove bumps. Now, they’ve launched a multi-purpose balm that locks in moisture and exfoliates at the same time with lactic acid. Use it on elbows, shins, the face and basically anywhere that needs some extra nourishment. It works well on lips too, thanks to its thick formula that stops cracking and flaking of the skin in its tracks.

UNISEX SCENTS:

Replica Maison Margiela Coffee Break, €95

The name is a giveaway as to how this one smells, but it’s actually creamier than you may think. Top notes of lemon, milk mousse and red apple give it quite a clean, fresh twist, but the coffee and sandalwood come together when it dries down for a masculine element that’s hard to miss. Guaranteed to having you sniffing at your wrists all day long.

Avaliable at Nose.com

Le Labo Baie 19 Perfume, £184

The inspiration behind Le Labo’s latest drop came from wanting to replicate a smell that imitated fresh rain – it doesn’t disappoint. At first spritz, it’s quite green and heady (thanks to juniper berry, green leaves and patchouli), but once it sinks into the skin, you start to smell an uplifting musk that is warm, cosy and reminiscent of a really sexy man. That being said, the fresher notes still maintain a feminine edge that we love – it’s the ultimate evening perfume, just don’t be surprised if your partner wants to share it, too. Well done Le Labo, you’ve done it again.

HAIRCARE HERO:

Olaplex Bonding Oil, £26

Following on as the next step in the Olaplex product system, this clever oil has been designed to repair, strengthen and hydrate all hair types, while providing impressive heat protection, too. If that wasn’t enough, it visibly increases shine (even on blondes), softness and enhances colour. The lightweight formula makes it non-greasy too, so you can apply it generously without the fear of your strands looking lank or weighed down. A must-have for anyone with parched, thirsty hair.

BEAUTY STAPLES:

Nikki Make-Up Sweed Lashes, £22

False lashes are having a resurgence right now, but our favourites have to be these, designed by top make-up artist, Nikki Wolff. Known for her striking beauty looks, it’s no surprise these have already been a huge success. Offering four styles, these individual lashes work to add bulk at the corners, as a cluster or on the lower lash line for a believable effect. Refined and delicate, they’re one of the most natural-looking set of falsies we’ve come across, plus their smaller size makes them easy to handle and apply.

Avialable at SweedLashes.com

Apoth & Co Lip Balms, £32

Available as a trio, ‘grammable brand Apoth & Co have devised the ultimate kit to keep dry, tight lips at bay. Including an exfoliating lip scrub, a hydrating lip gel mask and a nourishing balm, they work in tandem to keep skin hydrated and soft with ingredients like coconut oil, jojoba wax, vitamin E, C and aloe vera. They make for a great stocking filler, too.
