A Beauty Influencer Shares Her AM & PM Routines
IN THE AM…
In the shower, I alternate between body scrubs and shower oils. My go-to shower oil is the Bioderma Atoderm Shower Oil, which is a lovely light oil that cleanses the body thoroughly, leaving the skin feeling soft, supple and hydrated. I love the fresh, light fragrance too. Occasionally, for a bit more of a pamper, I’ll use something like the Arami Essentials Glow Body Scrub. A Nigerian beauty brand, it mixes brown sugar, honey and lemon to create this delicious scent that creates such a sensorial experience. Next, I use the CeraVe Moisturising Cream as body lotion. It’s moisturising without being greasy and works well throughout the seasons. I also like to apply a little bit of Aveeno’s Body Oil Spray to any areas that feel particularly dry.
My morning skincare routine is all about simplicity. I typically don’t have a lot of time first thing, so I focus on the essentials: cleansing, moisturising and sun protection. I’ve been using the Revolution Skincare x Sali Hughes Clean Sheet Morning Cleanser. It has a balm-like texture which emulsifies with water, making it a great first step to gently cleanse my face without stripping it of any natural oils.
Next, I moisturise. For this I use The Inkey List’s Omega Water Cream. My skin is combination-to-oily, so I like that this cream is lightweight and oil free. I always recommend it – mainly because it looks and feels far more luxurious than the price tag would suggest.
SPF is my final step. I'm a big fan of Garnier’s Invisible Super UV Serum which has become such a staple in my routine. It looks seamless on the skin even after reapplication – which is essential with all SPF. Plus, it’s affordable – and it’s another great option for oilier skin types because of how absorbent it is. Finally, I use the Ultrasun Lip Protection SPF 30 Lip Balm. I often neglect my lips when it comes to skincare, so I’m now very intentional about looking after them.

IN THE PM...
I tend to work out in the evenings. So my shower routine includes a lot of post-workout must-haves – such as the Dove Care & Protect Antibacterial Body Wash. After I shower, I’ll then moisturise using my CeraVe moisturising cream again.
My evening skincare routine is more indulgent. I like to build on the basics by adding in products that target specific skincare concerns. For example, I start off with the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm. This is a great first step to cleanse away any make-up or SPF from the day. The texture is buttery smooth, making it effortless to work into the face and really get everything off.
I always double cleanse in the evenings. I use the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser as, even though it has a gel texture, it’s not drying and leaves the skin feeling balanced. If my skin is feeling dehydrated, I’ll follow up with a hydrating serum like Medik8’s B5 Intense Serum. It’s so hydrating and a great base for layering products. Next on my list is the 20% Azelaic Acid Cream from Dermatica, which is my favourite product for improving rough skin texture.
Finally, I use the Lancôme Rénergie HPN 300-Peptide Cream. It has a thicker consistency than my morning moisturiser to lock in some proper hydration overnight, without feeling too greasy or occlusive – ideal.
Before bed I’ll have a cup of tea. I find it’s a great way to unwind while reading a book or journalling. My top choice is normally Pukka’s Peace tea.
