The Vineta Hotel

Palm Beach, US

Palm Beach’s storied Vineta Hotel is set for a revival under Oetker Collection. Just off Worth Avenue, the landmark’s pale‑pink façade and Mediterranean Revival architecture will return with interiors by Paris designer Tino Zervudachi. A new courtyard, lounge and bar bring fresh energy, while Coco’s restaurant draws on the culinary pedigree of Hotel du Cap‑Eden‑Roc.

Château la Commaraine

Burgundy, France

Burgundy’s first five‑star hotel within a vineyard opens in Pommard in February. On the historic Château la Commaraine estate, guests can join viticulture workshops, cellar tastings and bespoke ‘wine safaris’, before dining at restaurants led by Christophe Raoux or unwinding at the spa and heated outdoor pool. Hot air balloon rides and cycling through nearby villages also add to the offering.

Ian Schrager’s Public brand arrives on the Sunset Strip with a 137-room property designed in collaboration with the great John Pawson. A large landscaped rooftop terrace will offer 360º views of Los Angeles, as well as three destination food, drink and entertainment outlets.

Gran Hotel Margalida

Mallorca

Annua Signature Hotels expands its Mallorcan footprint with the 29-room Gran Hotel Margalida, a restored finca in the coastal village of Banyalbufar. A spa and infinity pool set the scene, while food takes centre stage at three restaurants, an oyster and seafood bar, and a lively poolside hub.

andBeyond Sandibe & Nxabega Under Canvas

Botswana

andBeyond is expanding its Under Canvas portfolio in the Okavango Delta with two new camps. Sandibe offers year‑round predator sightings and guided safaris, while Nxabega embraces a slower pace with mokoro excursions and floodplain fishing. Designed for minimal impact yet maximum comfort, each camp has just three solar‑powered tents – home to super-king beds, double showers and even Starlink wi‑fi.

The Lake Como Edition

Italy

Edition’s second Italian property is due to make its debut on Lake Como in spring. Set within a restored 19th-century palazzo on the western shore, the 148-room hotel includes 25 suites and two penthouses, all designed to frame views of the Bellagio hills. Dining across multiple restaurants and bars is overseen by Mauro Colagreco – in his first Italian venture. Also expect a lively lobby scene and floating pool.

Malta

Valletta’s latest boutique hotel is shaping up to be an independent retreat set in a 500‑year‑old palazzo. Twenty-three individually designed rooms and suites have terrazzo floors, marble bathrooms and restored Maltese balconies with works by local artists. A rooftop pool and bar will overlook cathedral domes and Manoel Island, while interiors will be a mix of heritage craftsmanship and contemporary design.

Baja California, Mexico

Aman makes its Mexico debut with Amanvari, a retreat on the untouched East Cape of Baja California. Set between desert, estuary and beach, the property will feature 18 casitas and a collection of branded residences, each designed to maximise privacy and connection to the landscape. True to Aman’s ethos, guests can expect pared-back architecture, discreet service and a sense of total relaxation.

The Lake Como Edition, Italy

The Hedges Inn

East Hampton, US

A Hamptons landmark since 1873, The Hedges Inn reopens in May thanks to Andrew and Sarah Wetenhall, the duo behind Palm Beach’s Colony Hotel. Restored by designer David Netto, the 13-room inn is all about East Hampton charm. A highlight will be Swifty’s, the iconic New York restaurant reborn in Palm Beach. Open daily across indoor and al fresco spaces, it will serve classic American fare in a relaxed setting.

La Darbia in Chianti

Tuscany, Italy

The Primatesta brothers, known for La Darbia Lago d’Orta, are restoring an 11th‑century Tuscan hamlet between Panzano and Greve. Opening May 2026, the 17 suites and apartments are shaped by local artisans using pietra serena, terracotta and travertine, with views across olive groves and lavender fields. Guest can expect multiple pools, as well as a pretty courtyard and chef Matteo Monfrinotti’s destination restaurant.

Turkey

On Bodrum’s northern coast, OKU Hotels is preparing to open its first Turkish property: an adults-only retreat with 58 suites, many with private pools. Interiors mix reclaimed stone and local marble with OKU’s laidback aesthetic, while a spa offers hammam rituals and beachside cabanas. Dining spans Japanese fusion at TEYO, relaxed Mediterranean fare at To Kima, and cocktails at The Round Bar on the jetty.

On the Red Sea coastline, Raffles Jeddah will bring 182 guestrooms and 120 branded residences, each with private terraces and uninterrupted sea views. Local craftsmanship informs the design, while three restaurants will showcase innovative cuisine and alcohol‑free mixology. The expansive spa features thermal suites and a VIP couple’s retreat, complemented by fitness centres and pools.

Beaulieu‑Sur‑Mer, France

Nordelaia is bringing its sense of understated luxury to the French Riviera with a boutique hotel in Beaulieu‑Sur‑Mer. Reimagining a 1960s seafront building, the 33‑room property has calming interiors by Yakusha Studio, softened with natural materials and greenery. A rooftop terrace (the only one in town) will offer sweeping Mediterranean views and tapas‑style dining, while an outdoor pool and gym provide further space to unwind.

Thailand’s Koh Phangan will welcome KAIA, a new outdoor‑luxury brand from the team behind Capella Bangkok. Sustainability is central – solar power, passive cooling and a ‘no single‑use plastic’ policy – while the culinary programme leans on fire cooking, organic produce and local partnerships. Christian Louboutin will expand his boutique hotel collection in Melides with Vermelho Lagoa. Just ten minutes from the original Vermelho, the new property transforms a former 32‑room hotel into an intimate retreat of just ten suites, each overlooking the lagoon and beach that give the hotel its name. With a focus on spa and wellness, interiors are by Olivia Putman – with glamorous accents, bold colours and, of course, pops of red throughout.

Set among Unesco‑listed vineyards above Lake Geneva, Le Clay brings contemporary luxury to the village of Puidoux. Lisbon & Mexico City

The Standard expands with two ambitious debuts. In Lisbon, Palácio Santa Clara is transformed into a 170-room hotel with 24 long-stay apartments, a pharmacy bar, all-day dining and a rooftop terrace overlooking Alfama and the river. In Mexico City’s Tabacalera neighbourhood, the brand introduces 208 rooms and 27 residences, with a rooftop pool, café and signature restaurant framing views of the Monumento a la Revolución.
