BOOK A FOODIE STAYCATION: Grace & Savour
Grace & Savour is a new foodie retreat in the grounds of Hampton Manor, near Birmingham. Led by head chef David Taylor and his wife Anette, guests can enjoy fine dining in a relaxed setting, surrounded by a walled garden, then stay overnight in one of the adjoining rooms. The garden produces organic herbs and vegetables – diners can see 15-course menus made at the chef’s table, before enjoying each dish with paired drinks. On arrival, guests will be given a guided tour of the garden, before relaxing in bedrooms or exploring the estate with maps and wellies. After a generous breakfast, take part in a culinary workshop to help make your own lunch – think scallops with shaved celeriac and brown butter sauce. Prices start from £350pp.

ENJOY A NIGHT IN EAST LONDON: Buckle Street Studios by Locke
Apart-hotel brand Locke has opened its sixth location in the capital with Buckle Street Studios in Aldgate. Around the corner from Aldgate East station, and opposite Leman Locke, it’s spread over 13 storeys with 103 modern studio apartments, some of which have spacious living areas, while others have a cosy, compact layout for one-night stays. There’s also a coworking area, a coffee shop, a meeting room and a shop (set to open in the coming months) dedicated to local emerging designers.
