Valentino has opened a pop-up at Palazzo Avino, a beautiful hotel along the Amalfi Coast. The brand has also taken over the beach club with striped Valentino sun loungers, red parasols and matching changing pods. Hotel guests can enjoy drinks by the pool at the beach club, which is built into the rocks, or arrive via boat for a relaxed day by the water. You can also shop Valentino’s Escape 2023 capsule collection – comprising caftans, mini-dresses and beach wear – in the iconic Valentino Animalier, Loop and Panther prints.

THE BEACH CLUB:

Marinella at Borgo Santandrea

September and October are two of the best months to visit the Amalfi Coast, when temperatures are still warm, but the hotels and restaurants aren’t so busy. The small fishing village of Conca dei Marini is home to the chic Borgo Santandrea hotel which has opened a beach club called Marinella. One of the few clubs with private beach access along the Amalfi Coast, it has its own dock for guests to arrive by boat, as well as a restaurant serving Italian classics like spaghetti vongole and pizzas with zucchini cream and fior di latte. Guests can stay late into the evening to see DJs take to the decks – we like the sound of the 60s-inspired night.

THE LUGGAGE:

July

Just launched in the UK, the July luggage brand was born after two friends struggled to find suitcases that were stylish, durable and had ample compartments. Not only is each case aesthetically pleasing (and available in a range of chic colours) but they’re also durable and sturdy enough for everyday use – even Harry Styles is a fan. Each one has a polycarbonate shell, a multi-stop handle, and silent 360° wheels. Inside, you’ll find a compression system to help you maximise space, and a separate water-resistant laundry bag. You can currently choose from suitcases in all standard sizes (including carry-on) as well as matching travel bags and accessories.

THE VENUE:

Lío Mallorca

Legendary party group Pacha turns 50 this year, but it’s not slowing down. It’s now opening an outpost of its immersive venue Lío in Mallorca. Formerly Tito’s in Palma (the iconic venue that once hosted the likes of Grace Kelly and Sean Connery), the spot will be the island's newest for high-octane entertainment. Guests can enjoy Mediterranean dishes at dinner while dancers, singers and acrobats perform. Afterwards, tables are whisked away to make room for ‘Club’ partying into the early hours.
