The Menendez Brothers, Netflix

There’s been plenty of controversy surrounding the recent release of true-crime drama Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. Netflix's new documentary film, The Menendez Brothers, is a rebuttal to the high drama of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan's fictionalised adaptation. When Erik and Lyle Menendez were convicted of brutally murdering their parents, the case captivated the world, turning the Beverly Hills family into a tabloid sensation. The documentary revisits the story by going through decades of material to offer a fresh perspective straight from the source – including all-new audio interviews from the brothers themselves.

FRIDAY

Disclaimer, Apple TV+

What would you do if you realised the book you were reading was all about you? And what if it exposed your deepest and darkest secrets? When that happens to her, acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft (Cate Blanchett) discovers the lengths she will go to in order to keep real life events a secret. Based on Renée Knight’s novel of the same name, this series is a cerebral psychological thriller with plenty of unreliable perspectives informing the narrative.
