Azra
Leyton’s Tilbury Road has a new Afghan restaurant. Azra has been opened by three siblings, with their mum in the kitchen cooking authentic family recipes. The menu is made for sharing, with beef mantu dumplings topped with silky yoghurt and warm meat sauce, plus flatbreads stuffed with potato and herbs or leeks and herbs. Afghan restaurants are still relatively few and far between in London, making this family-run spot well worth a visit.
