Whether you fancy a trip to the cinema or want a series to get stuck into, our pick of the best films and TV will see you through the week.

TUESDAY

Tucci In Italy, Disney+ & National Geographic

Stanley Tucci returns for another beautifully shot tour of Italy, this time exploring five new regions through their food, wine and local traditions. From Naples to Veneto, the series mixes low-key cultural history with long lunches, chaotic kitchens and the kind of meals that immediately trigger flight searches. Tucci remains an effortlessly charming guide throughout – curious, funny and clearly having the time of his life.

WEDNESDAY

Good Omens, Prime Video

The angel-and-demon double act is back – but things aren’t exactly harmonious. Picking up after that emotional finale, Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) has stepped into his new role as Supreme Archangel, while Crowley (David Tennant) is left reeling back on Earth. As Heaven gears up for the Second Coming, Aziraphale finds himself out of his depth and increasingly at odds with the other angels. Meanwhile, Crowley is at his lowest, drifting through Soho and trying to make sense of it all. With the fate of the world (again) hanging in the balance, the real question isn’t just whether they can stop what’s coming – but whether they can fix what’s broken between them.

Good Omens

Off Campus, Prime Video

This glossy YA romance follows Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli) – the campus hockey star with zero interest in relationships. Meanwhile, Hannah Wells (Ella Bright) couldn’t care less about sport, preferring classical music and staying firmly out of the spotlight. Naturally, the two are thrown together in a mutually beneficial arrangement that slowly becomes something more. Adapted from the hugely popular novels, it’s brimming with familiar tropes, campus drama and plenty of ‘will-they-won’t-they’ tension.

FRIDAY

Dutton Ranch, Paramount+

The Yellowstone universe expands again – this time swapping Montana for Texas. Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler (Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser) are starting over in the Lone Star State but peace was never really on the cards for this pair. Before long, old habits resurface and fresh rivalries emerge, as local tensions begin to boil over. There are power struggles, business feuds and, inevitably, plenty of violence simmering beneath the surface.

Rivals, Disney+

After that cliffhanger, the gloriously excessive world of Rutshire is back for a second season. Set against the cut-throat 80s TV scene, the battle between Corinium and Venturer intensifies, with old rivalries reignited and new alliances forming. David Tennant returns as the ever-calculating Lord Tony Baddingham, while Alex Hassell continues as Rupert Campbell-Black. There will be more power plays, scandals, plenty of high-drama twists and of course lots of sex, alongside a stacked supporting cast and some scene-stealing new arrivals, including Rupert Everett.

The Christophers

The Christophers, In Cinemas

Steven Soderbergh brings his signature sharpness to this witty, character-led drama. Ian McKellen plays a formidable (and terminally ill) artist whose estranged children hatch a plan to secure their inheritance – by secretly commissioning a young painter (Michaela Coel, I May Destroy You, Chewing Gum) to complete his unfinished works. What follows is part heist, part family drama, as the scheme begins to unravel and unexpected alliances form. With James Corden and Jessica Gunning among the supporting cast, it’s smart, darkly funny and driven by standout performances.

Normal, In Cinemas

Don’t be fooled by the name. This offbeat crime drama follows Sheriff Ulysses (Bob Odenkirk, Better Call Saul, Fargo), who arrives in a seemingly sleepy Midwestern town looking for a reset – only for things to unravel fast. A botched bank robbery pulls back the curtain on something far more sinister, and it soon becomes clear this town is hiding more than it lets on. With Henry Winkler as the quietly suspicious mayor and Lena Headey as a local bartender, it’s a slow-burning thriller with a dark streak running through it.
