Inside The SheerLuxe Founders’ Evening At The Arding Rooms

There’s something particularly energising about filling a room with people who are all building successful businesses together. This week, SheerLuxe Founder & CEO Georgie Coleridge Cole, Editor-in-Chief Charlotte Collins and the team brought together some of the UK’s most exciting founders and business leaders for an evening of drinks, canapés and conversation at The Arding Rooms in Clapham Junction. Here’s how the night unfolded…

The Venue

Set within the beautifully restored Arding & Hobbs building, The Arding Rooms provided a suitably impressive backdrop for the evening, from its characterful interiors and original architectural details to its rooftop setting. The space was brought to life with beautiful floral arrangements by Clapham florist Birksen, whose flowers added an extra layer of colour and personality to the room. Guests were welcomed with champagne and canapés before moving on to cocktails, wine and plenty of conversation as the evening got underway.

The Guests

Among those joining us were designer Jennifer Chamandi, Dr Nina Bal, Nails Inc founder Thea Green, Mint Velvet CEO Liz Houghton, Sculpted by Aimee founder Aimee Connolly, Missoma CEO Marisa Hordern, Nudea founder Priya Downes and Blink Brow Bar founder Vanita Parti, alongside a host of other inspiring men and women building brands and businesses across fashion, beauty, wellness and beyond.

The Drinks

The drinks line-up was just as considered. Whispering Angel kept glasses topped up throughout the evening, while Lockdown Liquor brought the cocktails – including a Lychee Martini and Picante – to the party. For those opting for something alcohol-free, Noni Soft Drinks and Cano Water provided the refreshments.

The Entertainment & Photography

With music from DJ Emma Christina and photography by Beatrice Rigby capturing the evening, the atmosphere was relaxed, lively and, above all, genuinely social. It was an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day of running a business, meet other founders and swap ideas, advice and stories.

A huge thank you to The Arding Rooms for hosting us and helping to create such a memorable setting, as well as Whispering Angel, Lockdown Liquor, Noni Soft Drinks and Cano Water for keeping everyone so well looked after. We’re already looking forward to the next one…
