THURSDAY

Daddy Issues, BBC & BBC iPlayer

Sex Education’s golden girl, Aimee Lou Wood, is starring in this new BBC drama about the trials and tribulations of parenthood. She plays 24-year-old Gemma who, discovering she’s pregnant after a one-night stand, turns to her recently divorced father for comfort, only to discover he’s as hopeless as she is. After the departure of his wife with all their savings, Malcolm is helpless, unable to load a washing machine or make a microwave dinner without incident. When Gemma’s flatmates move out, she resorts to asking her dad to move in with her. Part drama, part comedy, this new series is a touching story about the intricacies of a father and daughter relationship – and how you can never be prepared for parenthood.

Emily In Paris, Netflix

Left hanging by the bombshell ending of season three, our favourite American in Paris is finally back on our screens. Will the ‘will-they-won’t-they’ of Emily (Lily Collins) and Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) finally reach its conclusion? Or will Alfie be the one to win Emily’s heart? Expect drama, heartbreak, laughs, clichéd French tropes and plenty of fashion moments.

The Twelve, ITV

The Australian drama The Twelve returns with its trademark twist on the classic crime genre, introducing a new case and a fresh set of 12 jurors – who are the focus of the drama and whose personal lives are as intricate as the trial itself. This season, the story revolves around the mysterious death of wealthy cattle farmer Bernice Price, who was discovered at the bottom of a well with a fatal head injury, leaving no doubt it was foul play. The jury is an eclectic mix, and includes a former footy star, a local hero and two ex-lovers.
